This mail alert flag works great. It was not hard to install on mailbox. I did have a problem with "tigger pin" breaking off after a few months of use. I ordered a complete second unit to repair the original. I then contacted the seller, D.W. Rogers Sales to tell them about my problem. I just wanted them to know what had happened so they may make a correction in manufacturing to keep it from happening in the future. I was surprised when they replied to my note telling me that they would refund the cost of my second unit. They also explained that they had made a adjustment to eliminate the failure in the future. It is refreshing to discover that there are still merchants that value there customers!

(NOTE: That was with a coupon. It's $15 now.)Good: Reasonably easy to install. You have to drill two holes. They include a template for a standard mailbox, but it didn't work for my slightly-non-standard box. However, it was easy enough to figure out where the holes should go. They include a few spacers, which I needed, to get everything properly aligned. Once installed, it works as advertised: door is opened; flag is released and bobs upright. Get the mail, slip the flag arm back into the door latch, and you're ready for next time.Bad: As noted above, a little planning and maybe creativity are required if you're installing on anything but a plain-vanilla standard mailbox. But, they include enough parts to where it should work on just about anything.Bottom line: Once everything is in place and aligned, it Just Works. We have very irregular deliveries; mail can show up anywhere between 11 AM and 6 PM. I no longer have to walk out repeatedly in cold or rain to see if the mail has shown up. Five stars.

Our old mail box was the normal size plastic box that came with a flag to alert you when the mail has come. I've wanted to get a larger mailbox that would fit packages but because they didn't come with the yellow flags to tell when the mail arrive I held off. Then I found the yellow flag that can be added to a mailbox so we bought the extra large box and the flag. It was easy to attach and works great. The only bad thing is the part that the flag hooks into when it's set was made out of plastic and broke almost right away. I was lucky that our son is talented and made a new piece, just like the one that broke, out of metal and haven't had any issues since.Highly recommend the alert flag, other then the plastic part that may break...makes the unnecessary stop at the mailbox a thing of the past.Hopefully the manufacturer of the flag will read my post and start making the faulty piece out of metal or a more solid plastic that could break.

Our mail is coming later and later in the day. With winter now here, the last thing I want to do is go out to the mail box in 0 degree weather and find they did not come yet.This simple to install gizmo is perfect! I moved the pin on the mailbox door to the left 1/2 inch, so I can lower the flag further down and still have it trip.Parts are bright colors and well constructed, including a plastic wrench for the hex nut.

Very sturdy and well designed product. Works great too. Perfect for our mailbox. All arrived on time and in great shape. I just have to alter my decorative mailbox covers to fit now, but I can do that and still use them.

I wanted a device to let me know if I had mail that I could see from 120 feet away. This did the trick and has saved me many trips to an empty mailbox. The product comes with the parts needed to attach it to your metal or plastic mailbox. It is a very simple device that uses gravity to pop up. The part that attaches to the front lid of the mailbox is flat, so if you have a deeper channel where the lid wraps around the box opening you may have to improvise. I used three small washers to close the space and level the attached prong. When the mail person opens the door the lever attached to the door allows the flag to rise up. Reconnecting the two after retrieving your mail requires two hands, so if you have one hand full of mail it can be a little tricky. But for the price I'm satisfied and recommend this product.

I love the fact that I don’t have to walk to an empty mailbox. I am pleased with product.
