Works as expected, no issues for me using 84 LEDs. I currently do not have a resistor on the output.

Chip popped, checked current/voltages on all pins, all appear within spec, Vcc of 5.08Vdc, Inputs from a 3.3V device, output is through a 470Ω resistor, unused ports tied to ground. Low confidence in remaining chips, plan to replace them.

These perform the capababilities of the 74HCT245. That pretty much covers it.Obviously, this isn't the most glowing or elaborate review. What's important is these work.
