This has been a lifesaver. I bought another because I like it so much. Most of the screws fit my various guitars well, but a few have not worked. Such as the pickup screws and tuner screws. They tend to require a larger thread. The pickguard screws, pickup ring screws, springs and others have been very helpful. I have used this set on probably a dozen guitars at this point. The case is great, too. I tend to put my chrome screws in this case while I replace them with black, so I nearly have a container with mostly chrome, and another with black at this point. That has been handy too.No issues with stripping. No broken screws. Tighten by hand like you should do anyway.

If you are switching to black hardware, or just refreshing your worn out stuff, this kit is perfect. It's mostly geared toward Strats as it has a lot of the pickguard screws, single coil mounting screws/springs..but those guard screws also work for cavity covers, input jacks, etc. on other guitars. on my Dean(s) I used them for the back covers and for the V tailpiece, they worked perfect to replace all the nickel stuff. i used the pickup ring screws as well. really finished off the "blackout" look. turned out great! I was also able to replace all except the humbucker screws on the black superstrat. and I still have a bunch of extras. The black paint/coating is pretty tough, of course it will chip/scratch if you're not careful with them, but it looks good and doesn't rub off or anything. the screws themselves seem sturdy, they don't break or strip out easily. decent quality metal. The shade of gloss black is pretty universal, it matches up well with other black hardware, doesn't look odd or color-shifted at all.The humbucker adjustment screws don't work for any of my pickups, they are the wrong thread pitch. but maybe I'll find some pickups that they work with eventually. if those are what you're after, I'd say get a different kit with many sizes and thread pitches of those long screws. this kit just has one type. But yeah there's enough in the kit to do a few guitars, and then you can keep your old hardware organized in the case, too. for the price it's very convenient.

I needed some gold screws for a DIY Telecaster guitar I'm building, and the MAKA Guitar Screw Kit Assortment looked like the way to go. Glad I chose this MAKA kit because all of the hardware is cleanly made and burr free, with a rich looking gold finish. The assortment is decent, but don't expect it to cover all the variations in screw threads for switches and pickups, etc. For my needs, the neck attachment, bridge attachment, pickguard, and selector switch screws were perfect for my build. I love that this assortment has the hardware all identified on the box cover, which takes out any of the guesswork! This is a generous assortment and I'm covered for many more guitars going forward. I'd definitely recommend this assortment!

However, the top is magnetic and constantly picks up screws in the container making it difficult to close. Make sure you want black hardware! Screws are not exactly fender spec, but are cl9se enough

So glad I found these. Replaced a ton of rusty screws on a Tele-style guitar.

Was in the middle of a project guitar build when this arrived. Had lost a screw under the washing machine and stripped the head of another. This kit had exactly the replacements I needed and they fit perfectly! Was able to finish-up my build and then put away extra parts into this handy case knowing I was set for my next repairs. Great value! Labels on the sizes/uses helped too when trying to reach quickly for one to attach a switch or use for pickup adjustment. Screws are same sturdiness as similar parts (able to re-use a couple of times, but not super-strong) but better than some that come free with some pick-ups or pickguards.

I've recently been getting into working on guitars, and having a great time doing it. I ordered this set of guitar screws thinking they would massively come in handy, since guitar screw sizes tend to be unusual and not easy to find at hardware stores. Well, unfortunately none of these were the right size for any of the guitars I'm working on. Maybe it's just happenstance that they didn't fit anything I needed, but it was disappointment after disappointment each time I needed one. The only ones that seemed accurate were the tiny screws for the back of the head stock to mount the tuners, but I didn't need any of those. Also, though I didn't go through and count every screw in there, there were clearly the wrong amounts of some of them. I probably wouldn't have even cared that much about that if I had use for any of them, but I just didn't.So, after much debating in my own head I decided to send the set back. I continuously tried to think of reasons to keep them but never really could. Oh well, hopefully these work better for others. I decided to give it at least 3 stars just because the screws seemed to be well made, and would probably work great for guitars they would actually fit. And for amount of screws you get it's not a bad deal. Again, if they can actually be used.

Exactly what they say it is. Definitely a lot of stuff. If you're only working on one or two guitars. Perhaps a little overkill.

Bought this pack for a guitar project I was working on. Nice selection of screws and springs - I think all categories of guitar/components are covered - nicely labelled up for Tele/Strat pickguard, pickups/machine heads etc.The metal used does feel a bit soft and can break quite easy or strip the head under enough force - just drill the appropriate sized pilot hole and dip thread of screw into wax or vaseline or similar (I do this anyway) and use the correct size screwdriver bit and you shouldn't have any issues.A nice selection for the price.
