These are good valves at a cheap price. Just fitting the valve as is dripped a little. But then I used the plumbers tape and then re installed this. After that no drip at all. So a little plumbers tape before fitting the valve will ensure no leak at all. Plumbers tape I got from Home Depot was a higher quality tape that I got for about two dollars. So well worth it. Hope this helps.

Purchased this valve to replace the original shut-off valve used for servicing the RO system. I also grabbed a second to that I could manually divert water through a DI stage to create RODI water for a saltwater aquarium. The valve thread on tightly with teflon tape and do not leak. The valve is also very easy to open and close making them easy to use.

My old valve spontaneously split open at the tank fitting after about 10 years in use... this replacement is improvement over the old one as it's thicker where mine split, and also molded in the shape of a standard hex nut, so you can use a wrench instead of having to crush grip it with pliers, which stresses and deforms the plastic.

Finally had a opportunity to use the 1/4 tank valves and both leaked from the thread point onto the tank. No matter how much thread tape I used still leaked. I'd say the pipe thread was not machined correct. I have not tried the 3/8 valves as of yet. Now I have not contacted the seller yet but intend to do so soon., who knows maybe they will correct there error and send me some new ones. Any way had to drive 50 miles to go fix this leaking valve so I was not a happy camper. I do hope I can amend this review if made rite.

Bought to replace an RO tank valve with a leak in the valve itself. These valves and their quick disconnects all seam to seal fine, but the npt thread is awfully loose. First attempt with three Oatey FasTape ptfe tape wraps leaked pretty bad but second attempt with like a mile of the stuff seems to hold @ 40-60psig so far.

Straightforward, so no fluff.1 of 2 cracked when I tightened on the tank, but the other is going strong. 🤞
