Pricey but no need to replace blinds. Easy to replace blind cord. They work now. Cord seems pretty sturdy and glides with ease.

A single strand of this is strong enough to roll up, and hold, my entire 50†wide Roman shade. I’m only using it to hold up half of it, as I only had one side that was broken. Color matches up very well, too. It looks very much like the original.

I returned and bought 1.8 mm. .8 was too thin for levelor pleated shades. Good color match.

EDIT UPDATE (2022-12-12): Reduced to 1 star from 2. Broke after only four weeks of use. Have discarded entirely and went with 1.18mm paracord rated to 110 lbs.---Bought this to re-string a Bali DiamondCell cellular shade from 2006. Original cord finally snapped one day, appearing to have simply worn thin over the last 16 years. First trick was figuring out the measurement of the cord thickness. There's much discernable difference of a cord at 0.8mm, 1.0mm, and 1.5mm on a ruler, so we picked the 1.0mm. Well, clearly it was thinner than the original which made it feel not as strong.Second issue is the the new cord DEFINITELY stretches under load. The description to say non-stretch is a lie. In my usage it stretched about 1/2" to 3/4" before it was taught enough to start pulling the shade up.However, load rating tested around 19-20 lbs of pull before the new cord snaps, so unless you have a really long or heavy shade, it should hold up but it feels like it'll break every time you pull it.Lesson learned for next time:1. Order one size up.2. Order from a different brand.

This stuff works well enough to replace the frayed cords in my 2-inch blinds, but I did notice that compared to what it was replacing that it was much stretchier. I'm not sure what material the old cord was. The stretching makes it a bit more difficult to get everything aligned. It's still doable, but more annoying. There's always the chance that I'm too much of a perfectionist though. :)
