My old pressure switch was faulty and would not shut off the compressor in my brake buddy. This compact switch solved my issue.

Easily installed to replace unavailable OEM part on a Kobalt compressor. Accurately controls air compressor pressure.

My 2 gallon Campbell Hausfeld air compressor, model FP2090 and purchased around 2014, would not shut off after reaching the maximum pressure of 110 psi. It would cause the safety valve to suddenly release all of the pressure, so after googling the problem I learned it was probably the pressure switch. The OEM part number for the pressure switch is FP209530AV and is no longer available according to multiple parts websites. So I had to match the on/off specs and thread size, and this part matched. I installed it this morning and the compressor now shuts off again.I removed/installed the old/new switches with a 27 mm metric deep socket. The price was a fifth to a third of what other sellers across the web are asking and made it reasonable to purchase in case the switch was not the problem.

Turns off and turns on as expected at the appropriate pressures. No problems here. Seems to be well built in of high quality.

The switch was supposed to stop at 150psi, but at 160psi (and in the danger zone) it still didn't shut off. At 170psi the safety blew. So obviously it just doesn't work. Definitely wouldn't recommend as this can be a serious safety issue, and also because it just flat-out doesn't work.
