What a great idea. So many times we get a snowfall that doesn't really justify using the snowblower and this works great for clearing the sidewalk and driveway in just a few minutes. I even do the neighbors sidewalks. This gadget is the same width as our sidewalk and I can clear the snow as fast I can walk. It is made of a material that snow does NOT stick to. The edge on the bottom does wear down over time but that would be normal for anything. The edge will hold up for a long time though (several seasons). I haven't worn out the first one yet but bought a replacement just so I would have it when I need it. Really high quality product though. Worth the price.

The edge was a good idea poorly executed. So heavy it makes the blade completely unbalance the shovel.The HDPE blade lasted several years of heavy use and I am sorry I got a replacement blade which made the shovel difficult to use. Obviously the design people did not test how this extremely (compared to the rest of the shovel) piece would change the mechanics of shoveling. I am also wary of the number of attachment holes will not cause cracking of the blade itself under heavy use.
