Exactly as described. These are perfect for scooping up shells and shark teeth on the beach. They collapse and unscrew for storage which is great.

I returned them after using it once. The bags were tearing at the seams and the pole kept coming apart. It was hard to get rocks when you had to keep tightening it.

Functions as intended, but it has a strong chemical smell like the motor oil/gasoline mixture from my lawn mower. The smell has remained even after I cleaned it with rubbing alcohol and detergent. It is a "Made in China" product so toxic residue is not out of the question. I have put it away and if it does not go away I will probably discard it.

We used these on our trip to the north shore. They are really sturdy and made it so much easier to check out rocks in the water.
