I got this item to carry in my car as a poor man's brass knuckle, which I recommended by a self defense guy on youtube. Opening my Amazon package, I noticed the plastic case holding these two carabiner's was broken on the side, with a huge chunk of plastic missing. The size I ordered, a 4.75 inches, seems very well made and is made of stainless steel, making it quite heavy. I am satisfied with my purchase and am subtracting one star because of the broken plastic box.

These calipers are small, but very strong. Keep in mind they're a little heavier then cheaper calipers of the same size.
