I picked up this Security Steel Cable to keep my new generator safe, and it’s exactly what I was looking for! First off, this cable is thick – 10 mm steel – and feels like it could withstand some serious attempts to break it. It’s not overly heavy, but it definitely feels solid, which is perfect for peace of mind if you’re securing valuable items outdoors.The length is ideal too. At 5 feet, it’s just long enough to loop around whatever I need, but not so long that it becomes a hassle to store or manage. The key lock system is smooth and doesn’t jam up like some of the cheaper ones I’ve tried in the past.I also appreciate the straight cable design – it’s more manageable and doesn’t get tangled easily. Compared to other brands I've looked at, this one feels higher quality in terms of both the cable and lock.All in all, I’d recommend this cable if you’re looking to secure something valuable outdoors. The thickness of the cable provides as much security as a medium size padlock and the 1 3/4 inch loops allow me to run the cable through a variety of different items. The loops can be compressed to about 1 1/2 inches if needed. The cable looks very well made and should certainly discourage someone from trying to walk off with the items in my yard which is about all you can hope for while still being easily managed.

bought this cable 2 months ago to secure my bike, and it just broke, as seen in the above (or below?) image. 2 stars, because it seems like a good product, even though mine was probably weaker because it was faulty (speculation). unfortulately, it was not worth my $40, and i will not be purchasing another one of these as a replacement
