I'll keep it simple and sweet, the Motion 30 is great when paired with it's bigger brothers as floor standing speakers and bookshelves. I'm running with a Pioneer Elite receiver and the audio quality is crisp and fluid. I probably spent 2 hours at a *RETAILER* testing their myriad of mid range speakers and at the end of the night I was confident that I didn't need to spend more than necessary. Of course I picked up through Amazon for the great prices and customer service.

This MartinLogan Motion 30 hasn't gotten its requisite break in hours, and already I am in love. The highs are remarkable, and the music sounds as if the band was at my house. This is the best speaker I own, flanked by two MartinLogan LX16s, with a couple of Polks at the side. I like the Polks a lot, but MartinLogan has really impressed me with this trio, and the Motion 30 is the STAR! Sure, it was a small investment, but I am hearing parts of the music that I swear I didn't know were there! I'm really enjoying my audio system with this speaker as the center piece. I recommend it.

Another amazing sound product from ML.I use the ML30 with my AVR-X3600 in Dolby Surround mode and the sound quality is simply awesome. Be it All channel stereo or DTS:X, you can just feel the center speaker fire up on it's turn. I disabled all the 5.1 speakers and testing the center speaker to my amazement i did feel that this speaker alone could do the job(well this and the Sub :)). Overall nice sound either for music or movies.

I had owned the Motion 30 (and 15's for the mains) in an office system that saw minimal use. My main system was comprised of Dunlavy SC-IV/a's and the incomparable Dunlavy HR-CC. Due to the needs of downsizing, I parted with the Dunlavys and have been using these ever since.Admittedly, it's an unfair comparison: the Motion 30 center to the full-range HR-CC. I just wasn't prepared for how unfair. After the Dunlavy's were gone, I set these up in their place and the first thing I watched was the previous night's episode of Justified. When the theme song came on, my jaw dropped. It was like whole instruments were just gone. The whole presentation was strained and limited. Exactly what you'd expect from a small box compared to the vastly larger HR-CC. The physics can't be cheated, and don't buy the rationalizations of those who say differently.So now, weeks on, I'm bearing these but know I'm missing many sonic treats. It's unfortunate that ML seems to have gone the route of so many: offering centers of far more limited capabilities than their mains, and routing the lower mids and bottom to the subs. Take it from someone who knows what a true full-range center really sounds like: these don't hold a candle to that experience. But, for their modest price, they hold up ok. I just wish ML would go for broke and produce a true full-range center to match their electrostatics (and no, the Stage X ain't it).

I have a pair of Martin logan Source electrostatic hybrid speakers I bought several years ago and wasnt sure if the motion 30 or 50xt would be a good fit. I bought the motion 30 and overall, I'm impressed. Extremely clear voices and music. The speaker is hefty but pretty compact. I drive the speakers with a Pioneer Elite SC-35 and it sounds great. Build quality is fantastic. Even the grill is made of metal, no flimsy plastic. Yes, its pricy, but you get what you pay for.

This is a perfect match for my ML Motion 40’s and truly sound phenomenal! My only regret is bothering to purchase a MartinLogan 8i first. While the 8i is no slouch the Motion 30 is simply worlds better. Everything has so much greater articulation watching movies and even TV is a joy again. Sure the price isn’t exactly small, but this is a highly competent center channel.If you’re considering this do yourself a favor and grab one especially if you have a set of Motion 40’s to pair it with!

Amazing sound with added deep base due to open port on the back of it. Could not recommend it more. Great quality product. Love the metal grill cover instead of cloth, does not fade like my other speakers. When I listened at Best Buy and compared to the other center channels, this stood out immediately in quality and rendition of the real voices, the other center channels seemed enhanced, this sounded natural. It is also fairly small in size. Recommended highly.
