These are so cute! Perfect for our uses except the wood putty at the top! It makes the display less finished looking. Once we finished it ourselves we are enjoying it, but wish we received the display quality we were looking for.

Etiquette requires that you pass the salt and pepper are always passed as a pair - this makes that easy. HahaActually I love that the shakers can stay together in the wooden caddy and because of the way it is designed they don't rattle around. The shakers work well for typical iodized salt, I have not tried them with any other kind, as I bought them specifically to use when I want simplicity and to not have to use my grinders.

Would be a better rating if notches for handles were a little lower so shakers sit more level and the spacer in between should have been glued in place instead of just sitting loose.
