I use this magnet for creating a velvet nail polish effect, and it's the perfect size for that. My thumb is a little bit of a tight squeeze, but it does the job. Perfect velvet nails on the first try! I might get another just to cut down on curing time.

I wasn’t sure if the effects would be that noticeable, but I love how my magnetic polishes have turned out. My thumb fits snug enough into it without getting polish on the magnet. Example shown with Teddy by ILNP.

The magnetism is good but i have to squeeze my fingers into tje opening to magnetize my polish.

Is this as big as the 30lb pull magnet? No. Is this gonna pull the magnetic bits to a velvet look as hard? Also no. BUT it still works beautifully! It gave me the perfect velvet that I've never been able to achieve with the wand, and the magnetic bits haven't migrated at all over this past week.Disclaimer: I will say, if you (respectfully) have sausage fingers you may consider a larger magnet so you've got more room to apply the polish.

The magnets that you get for the cat-eye polish are so weak- this one is great! Worth the cost.

I was linked to this item from an external site demonstrating how to use a horseshoe magnet to apply magnetic polish in the velvet style. This magnet is much smaller than the one in the video. It is only a 10 lb magnet and my thumb wouldn't fit. For reference, I wear a medium size nitrile glove. There is a chance this would work for someone with a S or XS glove size.

Very strong use it to hold parts on grinder that are very difficult to hold any other way
