The stop screw broke before first use, unbeknownst to me, so i damn near killed myself first cut. Thank god the carbide tips were sharp, and the saw frame made of weak aluminum! It almost cut itself in half!Do not recommend.

I work in Renovation/Construction. I'm having to use chop saws pretty every other day and I've used plenty. Rigids, Dewalts, Milwaukees, Ryobis, you name it, I've probably used it but I've never used a Master Mechanic saw before. Was definitely attracted because of the features list to price ratio. It's only like $150 and it's got bevels & miters, sliding rails, 15amp motor, 10 inch blade, vac port, attachable supports, attachable clamp and it barely weighs anything. The big brands would easily cost 2x for all that and it's no slouch. I was using it just the other day to chop some Hardy board for some columns. Granted the dust gummed up the plastic guard piece but some WD40 fixed that immediately. I will say it's a bit of a pain to swap the blade but not real bad, just need a few different screwdriver bits. Overall, very impressed and happy with it!

I am updating on what I wrote below. I contacted the company and they returned $37 because of the laser. It was on sale for $150, I got $80 off for getting a store card plus the $37 refund so it cost me $33 for the saw, I can't complain it works as it should. I just got the saw so it's to early to tell, it seems ok. The problem is the ad says it has a laser guide, it does not. If Amazon or the seller does not act I will contact my Attorney General, so don't expect the laser if you buy it

I don’t have one of these saws but thats pretty bad if you ask me !! This guy gets the saw for $33 dollars and he probably don’t even use the laser. Their hardly making any thing off the saw and it looks like a decent saw and everyone else says what a good job it does !! What do you want a $650 Dewalt for $100 ?!
