This tool was exactly what I needed to fix my shower. It was sturdy and well made.It kept me from having to call a plumber!

This tool is thick and heavy. The seats in a Kohler shower valve were in very tight and this tool removed them. The tool fit so snug it took a little tapping with a hammer to get the tool fully seated into the valve seat. Then a lot of straining and the seats finally broke free with a loud snap. Installed new Kohler brand seats and the tool fit very snug in the new seats too. Again some tapping to seat the tool and the valve seats were tightened snug. Even if this tool is only used once, it is worth every penny. This stepped tapered design is better than the cheaper tapered end tool with no steps. JMHO.

Will work on multiple seizes but just didn't fit exactly so call it one size fits MOST. Very easy to exchange for correct tool on Amazon.

Double check your sizes. Worked for the hex ones was putting in, but was too big for the square ones I was taking out. Luckily was able to use a flathead and a wrench to get them out.
