I have a plastic madolin slicer that I use to cut soft veggies but I needed something sturdier to make homemade fries. This fit the bill nicely. The stand is solid and the blades are very sharp. You have to cut the potato in half to slice it which makes it easier to hold and slide but it works very well. No more bagged fries for us! Be careful using it because you can easily trim a piece of your finger off. The gloves that are included will only fit someone with small hands so I couldn't use them since I have very large hands for a man. Otherwise the rest of the kit is fine.

Works GREAT! (Just keep your fingers away from the blades! I found out the hard way. Over 8 hours in the Emergency Room. It was my fault!) I still use it. Just with A LOT more care.

This is easy set-up,clean-up & storage. But it seems to be designed to mainly cut things in circles, the hand guard it comes with has small needles that are supposed to push into the item you want to slice but I found that when I tried to do that on a vegetable I wanted to slice lengthwise those needles didn't reach but if I cut it so it was round it did. So if you want to slice things lengthwise you’ll need to use the gloves and a fork or something to cut anything the long way. I do wish it was a bit wider as well. It at the end of the day it’s a good item and I’ll use it often for sure because it’s a time saver when I’m slicing veggies to make veggie lasagne ðŸ˜

Dehydrate fruits frequently. Easy to use, doesn’t take up too much space. Thickness stays and doesn’t change with use. Easy to clean. Don’t have to store multiple blades

I had a different one that fell apart quickly for the same price. This one is very well put together and slices onions and cabbage so thin it’s transparent!Very happy with this one, whoever designed this did a good job!

This works quite well at cutting slices of things, such as vegetables or potatoes. It cuts quickly and cleanly, and it's easy to carefully control the size of the slices that you want.It would be very easy to slice yourself if you didn't use the gloves or the holder. I expect that you could seriously hurt yourself with this if you are not careful. It is probably not something that would be good to have around children.It does poorly with things that you want to cut into fine shreds, such as cheese. The minimum thickness that you can adjust the slices to is still relatively thick, and I don't think there is really any good way around this. It does not compare to or replace cheese graters / shredders such as rotary shredders.Only a few slices will fit under the slicer, which is where things fall. It's a bit annoying to have to pause every 3 slices or so to pull a plate out from under the mandoline and reposition things, and it slows down processing.

This tool makes it super easy to slice our vegetables. The included gloves protect the fingers while slicing. The thickness adjustment makes it easy to get the beets the thickness we like.

Very blunt and design doesn’t work. I have a guillotine that’s over 10 years old, and worked great but has become blunt. Still 10 times sharper than this.The guard is also poorly design and borderline dangerous - especially to people who don’t know what they are doing.Very poor product.

This mandolin is very well constructed and the blade is very sharp. It comes with gloves and I did wear it when I was slicing because I always seem to slice my fingers. Happy to report that all ten digits are in tact!Well worth the money. As for clean up, if you have a dishwasher, put it on the top rack and it will clean up perfectly!

Works very well. Nice selection of slicing and julianning options. Poor instructions for removing the adjuster roll - I still haven't figured out how to remove it. Dishwasher safe.
