Review of Mattress Bags for MovingWhen it comes to protecting your mattress during a move, investing in a quality mattress bag is a must. Here's a detailed review based on my experience with these handy protective covers:DurabilityThe mattress bag I used was made of Made of 200gsm heavy duty material instead of regular 150gsm on the market which provided excellent protection against tears and punctures. It held up well during the move, even when dragged across rough surfaces. However, thinner bags may rip easily, so it’s worth paying extra for a thicker option.Ease of UseSliding the mattress into the bag was straightforward, but having a second person to help makes the process much easier. This bag has extra handles in different orientations that make it very versatile when trying to lift and hold it.Size OptionsMost mattress bags are available in standard sizes (twin, full, queen, king). Make sure to check the dimensions of your mattress and the bag before purchasing to ensure a proper fit. A snug fit prevents shifting during the move.AffordabilityMattress bags prices vary depending on size and quality. You can expect to pay anywhere from $20 to $30. Given the protection they provide, they are well worth the investment to keep your mattress clean and damage-free.ReusabilityThese mattress bags are very durable and should last for a long time. If you move frequently or need long-term storage, this option is more eco-friendly and cost-effective.Minor DrawbacksI ordered for the correct size but it was still a bit large. This isn't a huge deal but more for your information.Final VerdictMattress bags are an essential tool for moving or storing your mattress. With the extra handles placed in all the right places, these mattress bags will make your move much easier and safer. Although they do cost more than the flimsy plastic you find elsewhere, I find these are worth the additional cost.

These were made well, heavy plastic, love the zippers, were roomy and worked great for our move. Movers appreciated the straps. Thanks for an excellent product, they will be used again for our son's move or anyone else who needs to use. Great value for money.

I have a 14†queen foam mattress. It doesn’t have handles and it’s not very lite. I’m a 66 year old guy that recruited his 74 year old brother to help move this mattress. After standing the mattress on its side and resting it on the bed base, we positioned the cover under the mattress by walking it back and forth, one end at a time Zipped up the cover from both sides and we were off to the races. The mattress cover side handles (especially the lower horizontal handles) made moving the mattress a breeze. Some mattress have handles on the sides of the mattress and some even have handles on the ends. Neither of these locations on a mattress are optimal for carrying a mattress through a house and on to a truck. This covers handle locations helped to keep the mattress upright while moving it. I found this cover to be a life saver. After the move the cover was in near new condition, and it was folded and stored for the next go. I was thinking this task would be a nightmare. Just the opposite, it was surprisingly easy. I highly recommend this cover.PS. A little care and common sense goes a long way. This cover is strong but not indestructible. But still a great value for the money.

This is a great cover especially for moving. Two people can easily carry a double thick king size mattress. Handles are durable, helped me already twice and still there. Folds into a small cube so it’s easy to storage. It seems to be waterproof too.

Moving can be stressful enough, but lugging around a bulky mattress adds another layer of chaos. These bags are super sturdy, making it easy to move and store my mattress without worrying about damage. The zippers are strong and the handles are a great help.

They are big enough that if you had a thinner box spring or mattress, you might be able to fit both in one bag. We had a full-height box spring and an extra-tall mattress, so we couldn't quite put both in one bag, but instead put each one in a separate bag. They were actually pretty loose then, but that's OK.The blue tarp material is very waterproof and pretty tough, but the zippers wouldn't be waterproof. But since the bags were loose, I rolled the extra material around the zippers so they would be completely covered. They kept the bedding completely clean and dry and protected in the back of an open truck bed.The built-in handles definitely made them easy to carry with different places to grab, even when going up/down stairs when you're at different heights. We'd highly recommend them if you're moving a bed.

I have a HEAVY queen mattress that is basically two regular mattresses stacked on top of each other. I ordered this came the next day. When it was time for me to move i was dreading putting my mattress in a bag as it’s normally so unnecessarily hard but unbelievably this bag was so easy to deal with. The material itself is similar to a tarp and I moved when it was pouring rain not a drop got on my mattress. Absolutely recommend!

Sturdy and did the job perfectly getting a king-size mattress down tricky narrow outdoor stairwells. Some brands don't have handles or have them in weird places. Save your back and expensive physio bills.
