My wife and I installed in a few hours. It’s plastic so it takes some additional lumber. We had fun putting it up together and it looks amazing. We put different potted plants in it all year. Great product and really dressed up our driveway

First of all, this is a beautiful mailbox. It's made of plastic that appears to be sturdy enough but not so thick that is can't crack or be damaged if hit with something hard or run over. I followed directions and watched the movie with the product. I opted to buy the ground screw instead of digging a hole and my 2 neighbors were there to "help" me (they actually installed it for me). Once the ground screw was in, we realized that the post was too tall. There were varying descriptions to get a 10 foot or a 4 foot pole. When I bought one, I figured the mailbox wasn't that tall so I got a 5 foot and it was 1 foot too tall once the post was on the ground stabilizer. Luckily, my neighbor had one that was 4 foot tall. It's important that the ground screw is flush with the ground or even the 4 ft. post will be too tall. Now, on to the fun part (I jest). Once they got the post attached to the base, the bottom section of the mailbox slid easily over the post. When we tried to slide the top piece over, there was no way that this could be done. The top piece had indented plastic inside of the structure because of the ornate grooving. This only allowed a 3x3 section, not a 4x4 post to fit through the top. There were 3 of us pushing down on the top piece and the plastic would not give. We got a rubber mallet and thick bags to put between the piece and the mallet and still, the piece would not budge. There is no way that anyone can slide this piece over a 4x4 post. My neighbor took the post out and ended up cutting 1/2 of the post down to a 3x3 piece. The 4x4 was at the bottom half for the ground screw and the bottom piece of the mailbox. The upper piece now slid easily over the 3x3 section and met the lower section without issue. The rest was simple to install. The mailbox looks elegant and I hope it lasts for years. It sure wasn't easy to install however and I am thankful I have exceptional neighbors with a saw and the correct tools necessary.

IT was a fast easy painless switch out the old for the new . all in under 30 minutes already had a post in the ground , just upgrading my post cover and mailbox after 10 years.

I was looking for a mailbox with a little bit of a wow factor and this certainly fit the bill. It's a traditional aesthtic but the flower box gives it whimsy. Initially I wasn't sure I'd like it, but now I'm certain that I love it!My sister installed it for me. She made it look easy enough and she agrees that it was. It's sturdy, of great quality, and great value for what I paid. If you're interested in this mailbox, don't think twice. You're going to love it.

Product it's self is great,and looks amazing. However I Contacted manufacturer to get missing hardware and 2 wks later had Not received it. I ended up going to hardware store to buy my own. Rating is based on Manufacturer Customer service.

This item was damaged and missing the screws. It clear that this item was returned and resold as new. The m mailbox that Amazon recommend to purchase with the post did not fit. The installer had to cut off part of the bottom and add wood to the base to make it sit firmly. Lot of improvising to make it work. I would have returned it but the handy man was already here.

The only reason it didn’t get 5 starts is bc it doesn’t come with the mailbox or mounting plate. Both have to be separately. And by separate I mean the mailbox won’t come with the mounting plate either! Love the flower box. I got fake flowers and wire mesh to hold them in place. Looks great!
