This is the one to buy for an NA miata. It works great, completely fixed the squeaky sound from my original cable!Other cheaper options may claim to fit but they won’t - this one is the real OEM cable, it fits perfectly and is clearly higher quality than the knockoff I tried before.

Got this at an excellent price from Japanese vendor younewjapan for a lot less than a buying from Mazda dealers or other suppliers I use when buying parts for my car. The part arrived with no damage, you could tell it was new and it had the correct OEM part number on the bag and on the part itself. The markings were identical to the speedo I took off (that I replaced with a part from a mazda dealer) so I know it was the real deal. So far the issues with the speedo (miata owners know the symptoms) have been solved, the noise is gone, the speedo needle is smooth and steady, the real test will be when it turns cold again and how long it will last. Great transaction, even installed using the King of Miata method so I didn't have to remove the instrument cluster hood. zoom zoom

Install was straight forward as documented in several DIY forums. Direct fit, no adapters or any such nonsense.

This part is plug and play. It is a bit stiff so install isn't super smooth, but it works great and my speedo is working like new.

My speedometer was squeaking and fidgeting. Decently easy to replace as long as you have a jack and made my speedometer not only super smooth but silent.

Replacing the 34 year old original cable with this replacement cable eliminated the whirring noise and speedometer jitter.
