I am very happy with my purchase of this resonator. It's loud/aggressive when accelerating but quiet once cruising so there is no drone and you can have a conversation without speaking up. The fitment was also excellent as the mid and tail pipes just slid right into each end. I also like that it's stainless steel which will last a lot longer than the aluminized steel. I definitely wouldn't sleep on this.

Recently installed MBRP S5152409 Cat-Back System on my 2019 Ram 1500 and was a bit displeased with the overall drone during acceleration (was a bit annoying during city driving); however the addition of the R1017 resonator before the muffler improved the overall sound of the exhaust to a bearable tone. Now it sounds perfect. I'd highly recommend this resonator. It is well built with great stainless welds.

I had this installed on my 2011 F150 in front of a Magna flow single in/dual out muffler. While it did not quieten it as much as I had hoped, it did do a good job at silencing much of the irritating moan/droning noise while driving around town or on the highway. If this is what you're looking for, this may be a good product to install as it even made the inside cab more bearable. But if your looking for something to cut your loud exhaust noise in half, keep looking as this isn't what this product does. I'd consider buying again if ever needing to just cut down on the noise level some.

Loud and nice low roar! Loud only when accelerating then tones down. Has a nice grumbling sound. Not high pitched.

Removed rasp like a resonator should. It did at first have a drone but as soot packed in it the volume went down surprisingly not anything drastic. Was a nice addition to my full MBRP exhaust without a resonator.

I used this on supercharged jk wrangler with an afe exhaust with long tube headers and wasnt enough. for turbo applications i think it would be ideal

DRAMATICALLY reduced unwanted rasp and vibrations in the exhaust. Was installed on a fully catless/straight pipe 3 inch exhaust, and it did wonders....very high quality welds and materials....Would highly recommend for any exhaust with rasp/vibrations.

Haven't installed it yet, but impressed with build quality and perfect welds. This resonator is larger than 3", a true 3" pipe will slide right into either end of this resonator.
