These were softer than expected. They are a lightweight sweatshirt type material at a great price! (paid $11.99 for a set of 2) They are adjustable to fit snugly just around your neck or over top your nose. It is snug to slip over your head so it’s possible it could be too tight on some people. When you pull it over your head it’s almost as snug as a beanie or toboggan would be.

Pros: Very soft and warm in below freezing temps. The dawstring is a gamechanger. I mostly wear it around my neck but pull it up over my nose and tighten the drawstring if my face gets cold.Con: both gaiters had a musty smell, kind of like wet basement. I had to wash them twice to get rid of the smell.

Very soft and stretchy. Well constructed with quality materials. The toggle on the elastic cord is nice and snug so it won't slip. Going to order more.

I walk about five days a week. I live in Arizona, and it's very cold in the mornings. I usually start between 7::30 and 8:30 and walk for 1 1/2 to 2 hours. When I get there it's often in the low 20's and sometimes in the teens. The fleece Gaiter has a bunny cord to tighten the top, it keeps the gaiter in place around your nose and neck. During the cold mornings, the gaiter keeps your face, your nose and mouth warm. If it's cold outside, it's much easier if the air is warmed so your nose isn't running and your not coughing. It also acts as a temporary mask on the trail. Launders beautifully.

I purchased these to replace a GAP brand very old combo gaiter/beanie product. These are smaller/shorter in overall length but still cover my head entirely. The 2 pack purchase price was probably less $ than my original single item 20 years ago.It was delivered today and I’m wearing one of them now. Very pleased with this product.Also quite amazed to see it shipped from MN and arrived in California in less than 2 days.Amazon is a heck of a company !

Clasp was broken when I received product. So it tightens but does locked to stay tight.Comfort and warmth good.
