The envelopes are a medium weight sturdy paper construction. The printing on the inside section of paper prevents anyone from seeing what is inside. It is a standard sized envelope that fits a standard sheet of paper 8-1/2†x 11â€. There is a strip you pull off that reveals a glue-like section to fold the envelope over and seal the envelope without the need for water or saliva. The color is a standard white with dark navy-black printing on the inside of the envelope. It shipped as expected and worked well for my need to mail a letter. The value of these envelopes is high, especially because the price is unexpectedly low at 3 dollars and some cents. I recommend these envelopes.

Your basic Mead envelopes. They have the whole privacy lining thing for mailing checks and are easy to seal. Good quality.

These envelopes are sealed all the way up the sides as they should be. The last envelopes I purchased (a different brand) had just a dab of glue on the sides so the sides were mostly open. I was worried my mail would fall right out! But the Mead brand is perfect. Love the sticky seals as well - makes life easy!

These are cheap envelopes that feel accordingly, but do the job. The paper the envelopes are made from is thin and flimsy. The adhesive strip lives a ~1" margin on both sides, so the flap is not fully secured. It is also possible to remove without damaging the envelope.

So much better then licking envelopes and it seals better than original envelopes. These are awesome. When I'd buy the old style most of the envelopes we're not usable when I went to use them because it usually be a year before I had to use one and the stickiness stuff that you had to wet was either stuck to many other envelopes or wouldn't work. Thankfully they made these. Good job.

I like these Mead envelopes. They are “security lined†so people cannot see what is inside, plus they have an adhesive strip for sealing, so no licking is necessary. They are not super thick, but they don't need to be. Often envelopes are sold in large quantities, like 100 or even 500, and cost less per envelope. It was nice to find a box with only 45 envelopes for $3.49, which is a more reasonable quantity for me and a good price.

Delivery was very fast. The product comes well packaged. The glue in the envelope works great, it comes with a small sheet that you peel off to access the glue. My only complaint is that the paper is thinner and less firm than conventional envelopes. I would have liked it to be the thickness of the envelopes that banks or the government send. For these details I give it 4 stars. Anyway, it does the job I need it for.

VERY thin, nothing to them, could tear in a second. But the stickiness of the flap is good. Overall decent for mailing 1-2 sheets paper or cheques.

It partially wrinkles inside the printer at one edge. I had previously heavier envelopes from the same make. I thought that all Mead envelopes are good quality, but I was wrong. Worst purchase ever!
