I was afraid the smooth plastic would be slippery, but it's not. The curves make it easily holdable with the lift and plunge actions. The spring-loaded platform very effectively keeps the tines from grabbing and lifting the meat. It's sharp and works well, not requiring a fierce thumping. I was concerned about difficult cleanup, but it's easy if you can use a hot water spray, suds, and some kind of brush. A dishcloth or scrubber wouldn't work. Sturdier than I expected. Good product 👌.

Sturdy and easy to clean. Makes all of my meats better and faster, as well as not being too large for my limited storage space.

This has been a very handy tool. I use it often when I want to marinade a meat to infuse more flavor. As the teeth of the tool places even slice marks into the meat, once emerced in a marinade or even placed in a smoker the flavor permeates throughout. As a tenderizer it breaks connective tissue allowing the heat to soften the protein. I suggest to my clients to use more marinades as a replacement to the dependency of salt, homemade marinades that you control the ingredients is the best. The openings made from the tenderizer helps flavor to be absorbed - surprise less salt (quick tip)

Thought I would try this to tenderize some tougher cuts of meat. The device works as described by poking holes into your meat when you push down on the handle. The needle tips are very sharp and there is a spring loaded guard on the bottom of the needles to protect you surfaces and fingers from getting poked when handling the device. As for cleaning, this is a little tough because it doesn't appear that the guard or the needles come out of the device for cleaning. I soaked it in some Dawn and hot water, then used a soft brush to get in between the needles to clean them. And you can really only let it air dry because the needles are pretty close to each other, so no way to get a hand towel in between them. Overall, a fair price for a kitchen gadget.

Has nice sharp and pointy blades that pierce into the meat easily. Has nice spring back action. But, the plastic that it is made of doesn't last very long before it starts to crack and fall apart, with the rows of blades falling out as soon as it cracks. I wasn't using it very hard and it still broke apart. I can't imagine how short of a lifespan it would have for someone who uses it forcibly.
