First week as a mama here, my baby has a tongue tie, and I have realized I have “flat†nipples (didn’t know that was a thing?!) so we have 2 major hurdles holding us back from latching. These nipple shields have completely saved breastfeeding with my baby. She latches instantly EVERY TIME now when I use this very simple solution - it is instantaneous relief for us. I ordered an extra set incase I lose them because they’re small and clear, and now a 100% required part of our feeding routine. It is so heartbreaking watching your baby sob at your breast and try and try in frustration and stress while they simply can’t get a grip on your nipple. This worked in seconds (literally just put it over your nipple, she sucks on the faux nipple like a bottle, and my milk fills the faux nipple and flows through the little holes on the end). The nipple shield is soft, pliable, very very thin, well made, and takes seconds to clean with soap and water. EASY.I now have a happy baby, flowing milk and no lumps in my ducts, and the greatest relief and bond with my newborn.I saw probably 30 lactation consultants in my time in the hospital postpartum, and not a single one mentioned nipple shape. This is so helpful if you learn you have flat or inverted nipples, and not a long round nipple. Google image examples to see if this is your hurdle too - thanks to these nipple shields it’s no longer a hurdle for my baby and I.Thank you!!!!!!

My baby was born with a tongue tied and because my nipple was a little flat, it was so painful for me to try to assist my baby in breastfeeding her, her tongue didn’t allow to fully grasp my whole nipple which in turned she would give up and fall asleep hungry. This shield literally saved me and my baby the struggle of feeding. She was able to latch on correctly, suction all of the milk and it wasn’t painful for me anymore!I recommend you get the same brand Nipple Cream to soothe your nipple after a feeding, it helps tremendously from chaffing and cracking. It’s safe for babies to consume too so no need to wash it off for a feeding.

1 month PP and my son would not latch. I decided to try these breast shields and I’m so happy I did. He latched effortlessly and there’s zero pain or discomfort. I definitely recommend new mothers to try this product if they are having issues breast feeding

I have used this shield for all 3 of my children and currently using for my baby. I advise to get a new shield every 1-2 months as they will wear out. The only thing I don’t like about it is it doesn’t stick well but this shield is the only reason I’m able to successfully breastfeed my baby. I will continue to buy and use.

These nipple shields saved my breastfeeding journey. I could not get my baby to latch to safe my life. I was so discouraged and thought I was going to have to exclusively pump. A nurse suggested this to me and it completely turned things around. I am so grateful. I like that these have an open part around the outermost edge for my baby’s nose. They also come in a great little case which helps keep it clean in the diaper bag.

I honestly did not have very high hopes with these at first because my daughter was refusing to latch. She spent some time in the NICU when she was born and got very comfortable with bottles, so when I was finally able to try to nurse her, she refused. I did some research and can’t believe these weren’t at the top of the list, because I hardly found anything online about how much they help. The lactation nurse suggested trying them and brought me some, and literally RIGHT AWAY my daughter latched on to this shield and started fully nursing. I immediately came to buy 10 pairs of these! I can’t believe what a game charger these have been for me! I highly recommend these!!

We’ve used four different brands of nipple shield in our breastfeeding journey. My son has a poor latch and spent the first 8 weeks of his life in the NICU, so we mostly bottlefeed but I wanted to have that bonding time of breastfeeding at least a couple times a day.In case there are others like me that are sitting through the options and trying to figure out what to use, I thought I’d leave this comparison review on all four listings. I hope it helps! So in order from best to worst nipple shields that we used:1- MAM (5 stars) We use MAM bottles, and this is really an easy transition for the kiddo. It stays on remarkably well, which is very important when the baby likes to grab it! Only downside is the sizes available — 17mm and 23mm. I’m a solid size 20. We use the 17 and it works fine, just a bit snug for me and a bit more difficult to put on. But the most important thing to me is that my son latches easily and it stays put, so this is the clear winner for me!2- Lansinoh (4 stars). The Lansinoh nipple shields are actually quite different from the other three we tried. They’re thicker for one, which does not feel great on the breast. I do love that they have a shallower nipple, so my nipple fills it almost entirely. My son latches very well to it, but because of the thicker base, it’s easier for him to pull off than the MAM shields (but does not fall off on its own like the Medela below). Still a great nipple shield that we continue to use!3- Medela (3 stars) This was the first shield that we tried together, in the NICU at the recommendation of one of the nurses. It works fine for us. I do like the thinness of this nipple shield; it feels the most natural of the four shields that we used. There’s really only one reason it’s not our favorite: the nipple sticks really far out so my nipple only fills it less than halfway when we’re taking a breather. That means it’s very easy for my son to pull off, and sometimes it even just falls off. Having to reattach it is frustrating for both of us!4- Purifyou (1 star) We bought this nipple shield at the same time as we got the MAM and Lansinoh ones so that we could try a few different brands. We couldn’t get it to stay put at all! Even though it’s supposedly the same size as the Medela and Lansinoh ones that we use successfully, it is way too big for my nipple and falls off constantly. My son had a harder time latching using this shield than he does without a shield.

Really helped while I had sore and cracked nipples. I was able to breastfeed only because of this. One of the necessary products for new mothers

Just ordered my second set! I usually don't believe reviews that are just singing praises of products, but these things are actually magical. It was so hard to get my newborn to latch, and then we would MAYBE have a minute of feeding. With these, he latches so easily and nurses for 10+ minutes. So cheap and actually a sanity savior. (My only suggestion would be to ask doctor or lactation consultant what size to get, because I would have had no idea otherwise!)
