These are fantastic!!! Perfect for thistles, stickers, and thorns!!! Rugged and durable. Perfect for my garden work. And I love the color. Correct size, too.

These gloves are very high quality, soft and flexible. We have roses and cacti with many thorns and needles. We’re counting on the added protection to save our skin.

Great price. Horse nettle thorns (horrible thorny weed) did not go through these gloves. Worked great for chestnuts. Good fit. One could pay more for regular work gloves without the leather extension for forearms. Best gloves I have owned! The dog and cat find them delicious. (They have an appetizing rawhide odor) For the fashion aficionados the gloves go well with many outfits and are much less ostentatious that a Coach handbag.

These gloves are super soft in the hand area and very good at protecting your arms with the thick leather uppers. We have lots of very sharp pricker vines in our yard and theses save the skin on my arms very time. We even used them when we had to bath a very smelly cat who has daggers for nails. He couldn't scratch us at all!

I like these. These are my second pair. But the first ones were built thicker or more protective when cutting my roses. The ones I bought before I used I never got pricked by a rose bush. These seem a little less thick I guess because the thorns get thru now and then. but for all my other yard work, these are great. I use them all the time and they have held up goodl.

I bought the yellow for my spouse and white for me. Wish I could keep them white haha but thee are so strong and sturdy yet pliable. Leather quality is excellent. NO bites will penetrate these and they come up almost to my elbow. Worth every penny! I normally wear an 8 womens glove/ L or XL, and had to size down. These are unisex sizes. I kept the first larger pair for my husband and they fit him well, re-ordered in white for me.

Quality is great! Used them for the first time right after being delivered to cut back some 6+ft rose bushes that were in dire need of a trimming. Previously tried using my well padded leather ski gloves which worked okay but the thorns would easy puncture that soft leather and didn't go nearly as high as I needed.Immediately noticed how well the gauntlet protection went up the arm. If nothing else this is the single greatest feature. Fit was a little tight, but I caulk it up to these gloves may have been designed for a woman's hand. They fit snug and if I wasn't wearing a thinner spring type coat I suspect the cuffs going up wouldn't have been quite so tight. The leather is super soft which made me nervous at first but seriously my hands were well protected after two hours of truely testing them out.I did get about 2 small pokes through the gloves. I must have cut enough to create a new 6ft x 4ft bush. Even at the end when I was getting real careless and rough pulling out branches my hands barely felt anything but sill had excellent dexterity.I wouldn't hesitate recommending these to anyone else. If you have huge hands they may not fit comfortably. I have medium sized men's hands and they worked.

Tackled blackberry bushes with these gloves. After 30 yards of cutting and pulling vines out over a short chain link fence, these gloves showed little to no damage, and not once did a vine thorn get through the glove. But even with the long gauntlet protection a few snagged me above the gauntlet. I'll put that off to the tough job conditions. I have no idea why I haven't found and used gloves like this years ago. Don't think I'll have to buy another set for a few years based on how well they came through this job. 5 stars.

Neither rose nor salmonberry bush thorns are prevented from sticking your hands while using as the ones from Lee Valley are. Not send back but wouldn’t order again these particular gloves.

These gloves are a godsend if you have roses or a prickly hedge to prune, protecting both hands and forearms from the worst of thorns! Comfortable to wear, the gloves are supple enough for you to use secateurs or pruners with ease. We made, they should last for many years.
