I wish the various ledges and planters came in left and right-hand versions. Also, I ordered a set several years ago, and they were lighter in color, I guess, the Earth color, not the Granite. Granite is very dark, almost a flat black. I ordered what was available at this time. The dark granite looks better against my blue background than the black background. I added several to three established vivs, and will probably switch out the black paper to blue in those, for a prettier effect. These work well for smaller snakes - I won't be using it for the Ball Python (although the ledge in Large would probably hold). Looking forward to the tiny locality boa, the rosy boa and the king getting out this evening and enjoying them.

This is a very realistic looking ledge, and the magnets seemed strong enought to do the job, but be aware it is much bigger then it looks in the picture. I bought it for a small size exoterra, which is 18 inches from front to back. ( even though it is called small- I think most people would think it is pretty big for a tabletop vivarium.) I read the dimensions, and thought it would fit, but I forgot to take into account the decorations on the back of wall the vivarium. They protruded a few inches, thereby making the ledge too long to fit in the tank. If it did fit, it would stretch the entirety from front to back, and shade the area underneath it, which could affect your plant growth, depending on what you have in there, .. maybe. Unfortunately we opened the package before we checked the size and is now apparentlyunreturnable. ( I'm going to try to artisticly cut it to a smaller size.) If you have a really big tank, it would look awesome. Even if it had fit entirely in the cage, I think it would have looked a little overpowering in the size of cage I have.

The shape is fine, size is fine. But the magnets are weak, so the side holding the plant continually drops. If we had a plant in it, and our Chinese water dragon attempted to climb on it, the entire piece would fall. I've had to purchase additional rare earth magnets underneath it to stabilize it.This product, like other Magnatural products, are too expensive to perform this poorly. We bought four pieces total, and we're having the same problem with three of them. Won't be buying any more. It's a shame, because the idea is great. It's just that the execution is very poor...using cheap, weak magnets to cut costs.

Whoever thought these up was a genius. First they are quite attractive ( the rock ledge not the inventor who may be attractive I don't know ;) )secondly the magnets are super strong and I don't have to put holes in my terrarium.Slide the two sides of the magnets in opposite directions to remove. Very happy with this product and so is my veiled chameleon . I have the rock watering one too and I'm going to buy more plant ledges. Totally recommend

I REALLY REALLY wanted to like this item. It's much larger than anticipated and made of hard to clean foam. The magnets are not super powerful and so this item is not super sturdy. I am sure a small gecko will be able to use this but it would be ineffective for a larger one like a leachianus or possibly male tokay.
