NOTE for quilters...These are photos of my quilting done while in the car on a long drive - they are not straight seams cause the road was very bumpy! I'm sure you all can relate to "car quilting"!I have an expensive "cut-out for long nails" thimble that I've used for years, when last week I happened upon a quilting video from Japan and the lady was wearing this exact leather thimble.I ordered it and have not regretted it! It is comfortable and a good snug fit and I am quilting much faster with it over my other metal thimble. At first try, I put it on incorrectly, with the logo being on the quilting/stabbing side of my finger. Then I realized that the other, curvier section had the extra layer of leather and I then twisted it around my finger properly. This thimble will give me much enjoyment in my hand-quilting. So glad I purchased it.

After trying one of those hard plastic thimbles, which got in the way of my knitting, I came across this leather one. I tend to use the side of my index finger rather than the end when pushing the left needle to complete the stitch. This Clover leather finger protector works for both methods, preventing the horrid finger pain I was having before. What I really like is that the leather still allows me to feel the knitting in my hand, and allows maneuverability where the hard plastic one didn't.The medium is a perfect fit for my index finger. For reference, I am a female with smallish hands (I usually have to buy boys' winter gloves because women's gloves are too long in the fingers), and my ring size is 5-6.

Hand sewing over one hundred curtain carriers to my new pinch pleat drapes for the travel trailer was beating my fingers up. A thimble with a rubberized sleeve and metal top only offered protection to the tip of my middle finger (and got sweaty,) a metal thimble offered the needed side protection but kept falling off, and my middle finger had developed a nasty slice from where the needle eye had dug in, when I didn't use any thimble at all. This thimble fit, offered protection where I needed it, wasn't sweaty, and is worth every penny!

I purchased a size M for my middle finger. The crochet hook was causing the side of my finger to swell. I thought this thimble would protect it. The thimble fits well, is soft and does not impede the crochet process. I have not used it for knitting or sewing so cannot comment on other aspects. I also purchased some of the inexpensive silicon finger tips and they worked just as well for my application.

Many of us have to just try several different types of thimbles to see what works best. Try this one FIRST! It is SO comfortable and durable, allows the needle to be pushed on multiple sides, and, as it is made from soft leather, it gradually molds to the perfect thimble. I've gotten into my car forgetting it was still on my finger! This is my second one, misplacing my first and I just couldn't settle for other types (happily, I found the first, too, no more panicking!). This leather thimble is worth every penny!

I have fought with using or not using a thimble when hand stitching my whole life. Thimbles weren't comfortable to me no matter what the brand. It was just as easy to put a Band-Aid over my finger than be bothered by a slippery thimble. During my last project, the massive amount of applique was creating a callous on my finger, so I decided to try a thimble once again. This one worked perfectly, and I couldn't be happier. Definitely keep in mind that leather will have some give over time. I went with a medium, since my thimble finger is my middle finger. Had it been my ring finger, I would have gone smaller. Definitely happy with my purchase.

Ich benutze den Leder-Fingerhut beim Stricken am rechten Zeigefinger. Vorher hatte ich immer Probleme, Stichstellen. Jetzt alles gut!

Love this for sewing and hand quilting, the medium fits great, I also have a small that fit a bit tighter, but still great.
