Just received this roasting pan and already had plans for it. First I washed it out with soap and water and then I heat it up some water in it for 30 minutes prior to cooking in it like I saw a reviewer do with another brand. Low and behold, a film developed in the water and on the sides of the pan. It's the paint from the underside of the lid! I had a bunch of food out and thawed ready to cook in this so this is extremely disappointing on multiple levels. I got this to make large batches of dog food, but there is no way on God's green earth I would allow my animals to eat these chemicals and paint! Returning immediately!
