We were surprised how many variations there are for the pieces because they all fit together nicely. So it was a little bit of a jigsaw puzzle, but not that difficult. Good finish and works well for the giant chess set, and is clearly weather proof, but we're going to put it away for the winter.

It was a bit complex to put the floor checker board together. Why can’t they all be the same? But once it’s done, I labeled it by numbers for next time. It looks amazing and loads of fun play.

This is very complicated to put together and takes too much time. Each piece is unique and they must go in a certain order, not just all similar pieces that you snap togther. We utilize the chess set for major events, but because it takes so long to put this one together it takes to long to move from place to place. Seems durable and like it would last, if you were able to put it in one place and forget it, but not function or worth the money for our needs.

This product is IMPOSSIBLE to put together. The instructions are extremely complicated. Would seem very simple to put 64 square tiles together but not the way this is made. After several hours I gave up.

Cheap plastic. Poorly packaged. Half the connection pieces were broken off during shipment, the rest fell off during assembly.
