The top of my 09 black Passat looked like the clear coat failing but the rest of the car shined and was a victim of many carwashes. swirls all over the place and one big blemish on the passenger side door from some paint I tried to get off a year or so ago.Faced with a big bill I decided to get a porter cable buffer and fix it myself.I used Meguiars wax for a long time so when I read and watched the YouTube on the Meguiars microfiber correction process using the porter cable buffer I was sold and went to Amazon to search for the products and found a good price on the whole Meguiars system including pads , polish and wax and last but not least a backing pad for the porter cable which I would have to buy anyway. So it was a great deal for me.I followed the directions and washed the car first and then used the pink polish just like the Meguiars video said i could see it working right away. The trunk lid came back to black, the swirls started to disappear and that blemish on the passenger side door was gone.plus you hear about the smell and its true it was a pleasent smell. I then started the finish waxing on the car and it made it look beatiful and smelled like blueberries muffins which my wife appreciated she has always hated the smell of some of the products I have used around the house but this one she actually liked which was good becasue the laundry room is in the garage.all went on easy and wipeing it off was just as easy as you see on the video. I did end of doing the trunk lid twice but that was to really get it looking perfect.I also did my wifes mercury sable in red and it came out real nice as well but the one thing her car has always had are water spots but the ones you only see at certain light angles. I was hoping to make some headway on them but they were not corrected very much and I really tried in a few areas on the hood but to no avail. but they have been there for a long time and I tried getting them out years ago using cleaner wax to no avail so I am not even gigging them for a problem that might not even be able to be corrected. Car still looks good and I am the only one that sees the spots.All in all I did my vw twice the whole system and my wife's car once. I still have enough product to do one maybe two more cars. I would highly recommend this kit to anyone who is like me just getting into detailing or to someone who just wants to save money like me instead paying someone else to do it. You will not be disappointed you did and you will also learn how to use your equipment after doing a few and getting success. One last thing, all the videos say to go slowly and that's true also marking the backing pad with black felt tip was another real good tip.Hope this helped somebody, If your like me your studying and overanalyzing you'll be happy with this product.

If you are a car enthusiasts and like to keep your paint looking it's best, then you need this system. It was recommended to me by a professional and it has been worth every penny. With absolutely no experience, I used this system on 3 different vehicles this summer and had amazing results. The product does not dry out nearly as fast as others do during the process which is half of the battle. It is very forgiven and easy to work with. My first time using it was on black paint, which can visually show mistakes. I had no issues even with no experience. Take your time, do it right with these products and you will not be disappointed. It brings back the depth in the color, brightens faded paint and removes swirling. I will always have this on hand.

I think this idea is great. Some notes.Claying is more important than correction/polishing imho. The contaminants are a real thing, and they block wax adhesion. A clawed polished surface grabs wax and holds it. That makes your next wash/wax easier. I know, everyone gives advice about how to do more work today to save work tomorrow, but at least you know I did the hard part too, so when your DA polisher feels heavy after your fifth pass with the correction compound, just remember I suffer along with you.If you do the whole process, 1 correcting, 2 polishing (not included), 3 finishing wax, 4 top with wax like ultimate. It’s a long process. It’s worth it to me, but if you don’t want to do all that, try just clay then correct with the DA polisher. Skip the finishing wax, and go straight to the ultimate wax. The finishing wax is good, but it’s more of a solvent/wax like a detail spray. Meguiars ultimate wax seems much more durable. The microfiber pads require the prograde noxious solvent-based compound and wax, but they sling drops a lot less than the foam pads. Get some gloves and go for it.Get some kind of plastic pry knife to help with pad removal and a nylon brush for cleaning or a both in one tool. Also, know that this is still work. It’s better than hand correction with a foam pad, but the machine is heavy, and correcting is a 4 pass + process. Finishing is a two pass process. The DA polisher get heavy. My wife has a minivan, you do the math.

Una maquina simple para manejar, lo mejor de todo es que funciona hasta para principiantes, por su función rotativa, y su comienzo lento. Siempre he usado Meguiar's, para tener mi auto impecable. Sobre todo el tiempo que ahorra al usar la maquina vs la mano. Estuve dos años cazando el mejor precio, hasta que lo conseguir.Nota: La maquina solo incluye la maquina y herramientas, no incluye el respaldo, pads o pulimentos.

Este es un excelente kit con todo lo necesario para quienes somos unos entusiastas del detallado automotriz, lo único que no tiene es la pulidora DA pero esta muy completo y la marca es una garantia esos si hay que seguir las instrucciones porque sino respetas la velocidad de trabajo de las almohadillas de mirofibra estas se desprenden facilmente.

Surprisingly powerful, easy to use. I've used several orbital and rotary polishers before and this one is fantastic. Even when applying heavy pressure for paint correction it didn't slow down, and kept constant speed. Was very easy to use without leaving any swirl marks or buffer trails.Meguiars also does a great job of lining their products up in consumer and professional lines with easy to follow guides. Very easy to select polishes, waxes and accessories to go with this polisher.Worth the money
