MEINL Sea Drums create the soothing sounds of the surf behind your rhythms. A small amount of steel balls inside the drum delivers a fantastic sound effect when rolled over the clear synthetic head. The hand selected pre-tuned goat skin head on the top playing surface provides unmatched tones with just the right amount of sustain. A sealing port located on the side of the Rubber Wood shell allows the player to control the amount of steel balls inside the drum. Frame drums are an excellent main rhythmic foundation for Folk, Irish, World and Celtic music, but have applications in any musical setting that the player sees fit.

I remember Meinl products from band class years ago so I knew this product would be good quality but I had no idea how great this sound would be! It is very loud, it drowns out outside noise well (when using indoors) & my clients say they “really do feel like an ocean wave is washing over†them. Takes a little practice to get the hang of it but the quality is really nice! My only preference is if they offered a vegan option but otherwise I love it!!

This Meinl sea drum is LOUD and so much fun. The noise can be too much for someone with sensory issues or pets (my cat did not like it). To mute the sound, I covered the drum with a t-shirt and kept it in its box - which worked perfectly. I also love the skin part of the drum which has a nice reverberation.

This is an amazing ocean drum!!!!! Made very well. I did not think about the size, it’s big. Great for home, takes up too much space for traveling. Love it when I am able to use it!!!!!!! May get a smaller one for traveling!!!!!

I give this 5 stars because it is what it states and creates beautiful sounds. I do wish it had a center handle for easier use swirling the beads.

My family did a sound bath at the beach just before I purchased this - we were blown away by this when we heard it so we had to have one - it is perfect - beautiful sound & you can bring peaceful sounds of the ocean to you anytime -

Great quality! I used it for my sound bath. Definitely need a bag to keep it safe. It sound lovely. You control how loud it gets. Would order again!

I ordered the large 22†drum. The sound is incredible! With a large surface area, and a generous quantity of 2 sizes and materials of balls inside the drum it’s capable of a wide range of sounds from very delicate slow movement of a few balls rolling across a large surface to massive wave crashing sounds! The feature allowing you to add or subtract the amount of balls in the drum as well as experiment with balls of different sizes and weights is wonderful. And I love the clear membrane allowing me to watch the motion of the balls as I play the drum. An excellent sonic device for altering one’s state of consciousness 🥰

I love this drum. It's well made and sounds amazing. I think the different sized beads really enhance the quality of the sound it produces.
