I decided to get myself a conga drum, and, after a look around, decided to go for this one, and I'm glad I did. I love the variety of sounds you can get from it, from deep booms to much higher pitches, just by moving my hand around the surface and changing the angle of play. I haven't yet tried it on the stand, preferring to lean it against my legs on the ground, so can't review that part, but I would heartily recommend it as a really enjoyable instrument, and I'm already saving up for another one in this set!
