This is a perfect addition to our puzzle center. The kids are excited to engage in group work and execution of this puzzle. It is sturdy and great quality product. I would highly recommend this to anyone interested.

We've always LOVED M&D products in our household, and this is no different. The pieces are thick & sturdy, with a glossy finish. All of the pieces fit together perfectly - no imperfections.Just enough of a challenge for moving up from 24-45 piece puzzles, but still bigger, chunkier pieces that aren't too hard to place. My son loves the images, too. Very detailed, with a large number of animals, and an impressive 4 ft wide finished piece.This was a GREAT value, as well, especially with M&D quality. Definitely a hit!

My 2 year old goes NUTS for puzzles, and Melissa & Doug do them right. We had a 48 piece floor puzzle and he has it memorized, so we thought we'd try the 100 piece. Only 2 months shy of his 3rd birthday so we worried the ages 6+ might be too complex for him, but the pieces are sturdy and the picture is unique so he had no trouble memorizing where the animals should be. Now it keeps him busy every morning! The only flaw is they don't have a photo telling what all the animals are. The 48 piece Dinosaur puzzle tells you the names of the dinosaurs. (cute to hear a 2 yr old saying "dromiceiomimus" and "parasaurolophus") but this one has some birds and cats we aren't sure of (ocelot?)

I am hoping that my grandson likes it. He has worked floor puzzles before and includes his friends and/or family in the activity. I think, more than anything, he likes the camaraderie the activity creates.

My son loves this puzzle. We got him the rainforest and safari puzzles for his 5 year old birthday. 100 pieces is more than he's done before and made it more challenging, but he loves all things animals so he was exited. It is over 4' tall so you'll need some floor space to put it together on. The pieces are nice and big, making them easy to grap and harder to loose under the couch.

Not a kiddie puzzle, very age appropriate, even fun to do it as a parent. Large size, great idea for sitting down 2-3 kids for a shared game. Thanks! I'd get another design too

A long African Savanna. I ordered the puzzle for my PBL (project based learning) session on Animal conservation titled "The Sinking Ark".The clarity of the pictures, beautifully illustrated and simply the length is excellent. Also despite the size, the puzzle are just enough challenging to keep the students engaged. 5 stars, hands down!

Rated age 6+ - the perfect step up from the larger piece puzzles age 3+. Challenging but not over complicated. Pieces are a good weight and will survive repeated use.
