I'm a grandmother and also a horse lover. I purchased several wooden Melissa and Doug toys for my two young granddaughters. When I saw the wooden truck and horse trailer complete with two horses I had to have it- for myself! I will keep it here at my home for playing with the girls when they visit me. It is very well-made and matches the real horse trailer I have here to transport my horses. Hopefully the girls will get bitten by the horse bug like I was!

Another winning toy - based on the fact that my preschool and kindergarten age grandkids love playing with this - from Melissa and Doug. I go this to go along with the Melissa and Doug horse barn, but the grandkids play with it by itself quite a bit too. It's easy to maneuver and toddlers will like putting the horses in and out of the trailer. Such a simple toy, but the kids are always drawn to it and it gets a lot of play time - it's always fun to see what other little toy animals, beside the horses, gets trailered and hauled around. Lots of imaginative play. Definitely nice enough to gift - would recommend!
