I love M&D wooden toys. These have lasted us a few years and still going strong. My child really enjoys playing with this toy. It has helped improve her hand motor skills!

I bought this when my daughter was 18 months & she definitely struggled with it, but enjoyed the attempt. She mainly unlaced rather than laced. She's a little over 2 now & can lace on her own, but not sequentially or rythmically yet so we have a few more years left where it will continue to challenge her.I liked the colors for each animal are different along with the string which provides opportunity to teach on color too. Great toy!

This is a sturdy product. I used a simpler one with larger holes to start, then used this one to advance their fine motor skills another step. Very nice fine motor skill manipulative.

Once my daughter saw this at her 3rd birthday, she was not interested in anything else. This helps teach fine motor skills and my daughter caught on right away. She's doesn't quite understand to go from hole to hole in order - she wants to skip all over the board. Also - this is a great relaxing activity for a tired mom to sit with their child and point to which hole to go into next to teach the child.There are pictures on both sides of the board and the board is sturdy. The animals that come in this are: dog, cat, turtle, rabbit, fish. Some cons that I've found just in the day we've had this are: the holes are NOT smooth so when the lace goes through the hole, it gets frayed a little and is sometimes difficult to pull through the hole. The lace doesn't get frayed enough to dissuade me from purchasing this though. Also, I think that lace should be a little longer. There is barely enough lace to go around the entire animal and with a toddler who doesn't understand to go from hole to hole, a longer lace would be nice.Overall, I am happy with my purchase. My daughter loves this and it keeps her occupied for 30-45 minutes at a time and is great for a quiet activity at church or wherever. She loves the pictures and the wooden (rather than cardboard) pictures are perfect so we can get a lot of use out of this. Hope this review helps!

My 6 and 3 year old love this toy. My 3 year old wanted something similar to my 6 year old’s sewing kit. She thought this was perfect! My 6 year old even sometimes prefers it! I find it relaxing myself. Helps with fine motor skills and keeps them occupied for an hour, plus! Love that the string colors match up to the animal! Perfect size for little hands.

Bought this for grandchildren who were coming for a visit at Thanksgiving. Three little girls 5 yrs and two 3 yr olds. The cards are made out of cardboard. If taken care of they are fine. The girls took right to “sewing†and enjoyed lacing the cards. Many cute animals to pick from. Sent the cards and laces home with one family and then reordered and sent to the third granddaughter. I like that the laces are different colors. The child can pick the card they like and the color lace they want to “sew†with. Over all happy with my purchase. Good price.

The wooden panels came earlier than expected very soon after ordering and are exactly as described. Good price. Threads are getting tatty very quickly though.

Great! My 2-year old loves it and can keep him entertained for about 10 minutes but he gets bored past that and thus can't complete it in one go.
