Before I even get into it, it’s Melissa and Doug! That should be your answer enough right there! The quality of the puzzle is exceptional, as is to be expected of this company’s products. The cardboard is firm and glossy, and the pieces are cut nicely with a good fit to one another. The print of the images is clear and bright, which emphasizes the cute details and makes reading the letters, numbers, and pictures very enjoyable! The two wind-up vehicles follow along the track with ease, the only difficulty being in little fingers holding the twisty piece still before placing the vehicle on the track. I imagine it would be easier for older ages to manage versus my 3yo, but he still enjoyed it greatly! The letters, numbers, and pictures provided lots of opportunities for learning and discussion with my little one when he was putting the puzzle together. Similarly to my experience with all Melissa and Doug products, the bang for your buck is absolutely there! I will always choose Melissa and Doug over any other brand when given the opportunity!!

Thick puzzle pieces, can be taken apart and put.together multiple times without damaging it. The cars are okay, but still 5 stars considering tis lasted us so long.

Unfortunately the boat stopped winding after 3 times of putting it together. I actually contacted Melissa & Doug website and they sent me a brand new puzzle to replace the broken boat. So this is why I’m giving 5 stars! Excellent customer service! My son loves it, and he doesn’t know he’s learning by while doing it. Quality is great, very sturdy pieces that would be hard to break/rip.

4 yr old granddaughter loves it. Challenging enough to make her think but not too much to lose interest. Bonus vehicle tracks are a nice reward after completing.

My 3 yr old is *obsessed* with this! Several smaller puzzles that nestle into each other, with numbers and letters and animals he loves. Such a cool way to teach so many concepts but without overwhelm, as he works through it at his own pace and putting it together reinforces the order of numbers and letters, the letter sounds that go with the pictures, and the number of animals that go with each number.Then once’s it’s put together he squeals with delight running the little cars on the tracks! For a 3 yo you do need an adult to wind up the tight vehicle gears very well. One of our vehicles randomly stopped working, bummer. Still a great toy that our little puzzler enjoys so much.
