What is Melt and Pour Soap Base?
Melt and Pour Soap Base is a pre-made soap that you can melt down, add scent and colorants and let harden inside your own molds.
It’s an easy way to make your own customized soap at home without having to handle some of the more caustic chemicals like lye or purchasing safety gear.
The soap base already went through the full saponification process (the chemical reaction that makes lye safe for skin), therefore you can enjoy your soap immediately, rather than waiting 4-6 weeks for it to completely cure as with the cold process.

Melt and Pour Soap Base Directions:
Cut soap base into pieces
Cut the Pifito Melt and Pour Soap Base into small chunks and place into a container. Heat soap in a microwave, at 30-second intervals, stirring between each one. Melted base should be smooth and liquidy, with no lumps or chunks. Alternatively, the soap base can be melted in a double boiler.
Add essential oils and colorants
Add colorants, fragrance oil or essential oil to the melted soap. If desired add florals.
Pour mixture into mold
Slowly pour soap into mold. Soap should be hard enough to unmold in a few hours.
Let soap cool until hardens
Once completely hardened, pop the bars out of the mold. You can use your soap right away.

How to Choose a Specific Melt and Pour Soap Base Type?

All our Melt and Pour Soap Bases primarily consist of coconut oil, palm oil, safflower oil, glycerin, water and sodium hydroxide (lye).
From there other natural ingredients are added to make each base special, like goat's milk, shea butter, oatmeal, aloe vera, honey, hemp seed oil, olive oil, cocoa butter and more.

If you are new to soap making this is the best soap base so far that I have used. It lathers very well and holds the EO great which makes for great soap with a great scent. Very easy to use and melts quickly. Makes my skin soft and luxurious

Nice product. So easy to use, and melts easily in a microwave. I used one-pound molds and got four good-sized bars from each block, 28 total. I will use this product again as I enjoy the variety. Previously I made my own with lye, combining all the oils, hoping saponification would occur. This is so much easier and I hate to admit it, but better quality.

The best soap base I’ve purchased. Never disappointed and always delivered timely. The product itself is great on the skin does not leave heavy soap residue and pairs well with scented oils. Highly recommend if you work with melt and pour bases.

I love this set! I’m still somewhat new to soap making and I really wanted to try a few different types of bases. This set is great because you get a 1lb block of each different type, allowing you to try them all without paying a lot of money or getting stuck with a lot of one kind that you may not like. Although I think you’re going to like them all! Each one has glycerin in them so they will all create lather. So far the olive oil is my favorite, it’s so creamy! They have mixed well with the essential oils I’ve used as well as additional moisturizers like almond oil, vitamin E oil, argan oil and rosehip seed oil. I’m making a large variety of different types, scents and shapes for Christmas gifts that my family is going to love. Melt and pour soap is so much more fun, quick and easy than the old fashion mixing of lye to make homemade soap and it’s a craft that can be done with your children. This set is perfect for “wowing†people with the variety of creations you can come up with, such as adding ground oatmeal to the oatmeal base for a great exfoliating soap or dried lavender and lavender essential oil to the olive oil soap for a relaxing shower. Sooooooo many choices!! Lol. I’ll definitely be buying this set again.
