Got this for the occasional time we have cousins sleep over. The mat is very comfortable almost as good as a normal foam mattress despite being much thinner. Sleepovers are much better when no one is on floor. It also works for car camping as it fits on a cot or in a tent well.It rolls up to be fairly compact but not enough to hike with etc. Great for storing in a closet.I will say just like any memory foam product it needs a few days to air out because it stinks a little at first. But then it's fine.

If you're looking for a pad that doesn't require inflation, then this may be for you. The upside is that you don't have to inflate it. The downside is that it is large, and a bit ungainly when it comes to storage. It is a comfortable pad, and if it is going to live in a closet, or garage, and not get carted around much for camping, or only used occasionally for camping, then it will work fine. It is heavy, and of large volume.

I’m not much of a camper so I have never used this pad for its marketed purpose. However, it works great for kids sleepovers instead of an air mattress (it won’t deflate!). It also fits our pullout twin chair perfectly to add some much needed cushioning for guests sleeping over. It rolls up easily for storage and has a carrying handle for convenience.

This sleeping pad has completely changed my camping experience! While it’s a bit bulky to carry around, the comfort it provides makes it well worth the extra effort. I couldn’t believe how much it felt like sleeping in my own bed, instead of on the hard, cold ground.I used it during a weekend camping trip with my son’s Scout troop, and I was so glad I had it. The first night, I didn’t set it up and paid the price with a miserable sleep on the ground. By the next night, I decided to pull it out of my trunk, and the difference was incredible. I assure you that I’ll never camp without it again.

Ordered this mat to be used as a spare sleeping pad in hopes of getting rid of our pull out couch in the spare room. The couch is used very rarely & takes up a ton of room. So, this mattress would be used on occasion. And since it rolls up can be stored in a closet. However, it turns out not to be a good solution for a bed or couch replacement. Perhaps for camping as you're most likely sleeping on the ground anyway. Then this mat is for sure an upgrade. However, for anything that requires a semblance of comfort, this will not be your top choice. Even though the foam is thick (3"), unless someone is lying prone & stretched out to disperse their weight (I say someone as an adult, not a child - for kids this would probably be fine), then they will sink to the ground. Almost as if no pad were there. I didn't work well for our needs, but again, for an ER situation or camping, then it will probably fill the need.

When I removed the storage bag I was surprised how huge it was. I contemplated storing the mattress roll-up and some other things. But that was before I opened the mattress and let it expand. This is one fine camping mattress, you will be on cloud nine if you put your sleeping bag on top of this mattress. It expands enough that this is the only thing fitting in the storage bag. It is well-made and sturdy. I ordered the twin size and installed a waterproof mattress cover and a bottom sheet. It is very comfortable for camping or taking on a sleepover. It does take up storage space, I have it on a shelf in my laundry room. I am glad I ordered this and will update my review if anything changes.
