We found this product on a video someone had shared and had to figure out two things before buying:1) is the price where I'm able to take a shot at this fix without making it irreversibly worse and without costing so much that I could potentially deeply regret it? It was right in the sweet spot; and I found the alternative costs to be way more. Hundreds for replacement, or self-loathing for doing nothing.2) My realistic expectations: how close do I need this to look really good from, and will this get me there? My number was 8 feet, and from what I read, I decided yes, it would. We were dealing with several 1/4 to 3/4 inch holes in several different long runs of siding along the side of the house, and one larger one near the gutter. It would have taken replacement of at least 4 separate panels which is the worst option other than leaving it un-repaired. The application was easy, although I can't imagine not understanding how to use this. The color was so close that we almost didn't bother painting it, but having watched the video, I naturally went for it. The attached picture shows the before and after of the first fix we did, which happened to be the largest hole we had near the gutter. The results were even better on the later applications because I finally remembered to actually feather the paint properly. I attached photos of my very first attempt because it's probably the fairest representation of an average Joe doing this with no experience... even that attempt came out great, and is barely noticeable from more than a few feet away; and it got even better from there. Something to note: Don't expect a heavy, thick application. I think the lines would be way too prominent if it were thick anyway; and this made the painting a breeze. On a larger hole, I feel like I would use plumber's putty on the hole, sand it dead smooth, then apply the Mendyl... then there would be no depressions visible in the least. Maybe the seller can say if this would be ok to do with the product; but it's certainly not necessary, you can see in the photo it's barely visible, and that was our largest hole. We experienced no edge curl-up, no insufficient adhesion, and super important, no poorly machined pieces with bad edges. And as I write this, all applications have had no adverse reaction to cold or warm weather, nor the rain, nor the hose (its durability was my number one concern going in, and it's evident that it's just part of the house now and isn't going anywhere). I will update the review if this changes. If you are considering replacement because of small to medium sized holes in your vinyl... definitely reconsider. I'm not sure why someone would dish out unnecessary money to replace siding when you can just patch the hole with this to remove the weather vulnerability... paint it so it looks nice to visitors, yourself and your neighbors, and spend your siding money on something else more exciting than siding, which is almost literally anything else. You have to decide for yourself, but for me... I like it, I wish I thought of it, and I suppose I would recommend it to a friend... most of them at least. The rest of them don’t deserve my recommendations :)

I like product. This was reorder as used before. If applied correctly with good color match, great solution instead of replacing entire plank. However package stated two patches and only one was in package.

Purchased after hurricane damaged some siding. Didn’t want to replace whole pieces - so gave it try.Was shocked that it didn’t show. Recommend for small holes and gouges for sure. Also very easy to apply.

Product is a nice idea, just not thick enough and longevity doesn’t appear to be a good long term fix. Good short term fix, not sure how the effect of heat and cold will affect it.

I use this a couple times to patch, small hoes in my vinyl siding. It does hold up pretty well. I wish it had a little bit more glue on it, but it does the job just make sure to thoroughly clean and wipe off any dirt on the siding before applying it this is best for smaller hoes nothing too big, I would say these are perfect for hoes around an inch big

I'm no tradesman but fitted these patches over a couple of holes in the cladding for my caravan. Unless your standing right on top of it you can not see the patch at all

I wish that I could leave zero stars for my review; the only saving grace for this product, is that is it is not hard to use. Clean surface, ensure surface dry, apply to surface.Durability?Well.. let's see... one patch lasted 5 hours. The other started to peel the next day. I applied it directly after taking it out/peeling it off and didn't apply to multiple surfaces/try to manipulate it etc. The adhesive, is sadly useless.Do not buy. It would be more efficient to just light cash on fire if you want to waste your money.

It does the job as expected; it does not pick up the pattern on the vinyl as easily as described. No instructions regarding temperature. Can they be used during a damp spring, a hot summer, a frigid winter, or a brisk autumn? Don't know!Contacted the company to ask; never got a response. Two vinyls per pack.
