I purchased this for my daughter and boyfriend for Christmas. They love it and it looks very nice. They said it was pretty easy to assemble. Would highly recommend.

I'm just going to list a bunch of issues this thing has.1. It's a 128lbs item and it's shipped in a single flimsy box. I've had a full weight rack and several hundred pounds of weights shipped to me. I've had > 250lbs furniture shipped. It's possible to ship heavy items without destroying them, but you need to package them intelligently. This comes in a single flimsy box and it was utterly mangled, with parts literally strewn across the back of the UPS truck. And frankly, it's not their fault. We managed to gather every piece, but it wasn't a great introduction to this product.2. Quality. This item is of middling to lower quality. It's not awful, but it doesn't justify it's pricetag. It's made of a relatively weak fiberboard and glued together.Mine had glue and fiberboard dust all over it. Laminate glue and panel glue spots and streaks everywhere. The top is a relatively ugly laminate plastic and it's poorly glued, with small gaps on the edges, and adhesive smeared in various areas.The main structure isn't particularly well painted, with missing paint in visible areas, and again smeared with adhesive and fiberboard dust.The casters are poor quality and don't roll easily, nor do they lock well. The island REALLY wants to tip over, although this may improve once it's stocked, assuming you put enough weight down low.3. Instructions and assembly. Horrible. Not a surprise here, but these get a grade of D+, and that's compared to generally bad assembled furniture instructions. Hardware seems to be sourced at random, with different arrangements of bags, many labeled completely differently, and some missing proper labels. Diagrams are an abomination, doing a truly awful job of portraying dimensional perspective.4. Stickers. This item loses the entire star due to terrible stickers. One sticker is "permanent" and is not supposed to be removed, but the others were just as bad. Flaky paper stickers with gooey adhesive. I removed all of them with a bunch of scraping and odorless mineral spirits.5. Power. The power receptacle is about as trashy as you can imagine and is only 12A. Don't expect to run anything that pulls any real current through this thing without a fire extinguisher nearby. The power cord barely reaches the ground, which is perhaps okay for an island, but not so much for something on wheels.Overall, this product is poor and you should look elsewhere. With assembly finished, it is nice to look at, and well designed, but the drawbacks make it impossible to recommend.

So first thing we love the island. Second thing, this really requires two people. Sure you can do it by yourself but even the package it shows up in is heavy af. It likely would've gone faster if we had a drill. We have very little counter space in our house so this is a nice addition that will make cooking a lot easier, and give us more storage for pots and pans etc. Honestly I think its worth it. It's cheaper than Ikea, and just about as difficult to put together. Seems sturdy enough. (Yes it has the extended wood top, I just didn't take a picture if it with it out. I probably wouldn't put anything excessively heavy on the fold up piece, but it was somewhat sturdy).

I like the extra storage and counter top of this island, but if someone says that it was easy to put together, they probably have a degree from MIT!

This is a pain in the ass to put together, just an FYI! If you have an electric screwdriver use it! This item arrived on time and came with instructions, they were hard to find. They were located between the box and the styrofoam. Not on the inside with all the components like you would think they would be. The island is great, love the color, very sturdy and really needed the storage space since my kitchen cabinets are limited on space and I just have a lot of gadgets and kitchen things lol. It's very sturdy and provides an extra spot for people to sit and eat. We have eaten several meals here already and it was very sturdy. Seats 2 comfortably. The barstools I bought on amazon separately. So far love it! No dings or scratched pieces were here.

I absolutely love this product!!! We have a tiny kitchen and a table and chairs took up too much room. This cart with stools is perfect!! The storage is an added bonus for our little kitchen. Went together easily.
