Product arrived quickly as promised and was relatively easy to install. I have a 2004 Four Winns Horizon with a Volvo Penta 5.0 GXi engine (5.0 liter GM V8) and this starter works just fine starting this motor. Great price and quick shipping got me back on the water again quickly. The description says "new" and I cannot detect that it was refurbished in any way. Highly recommended for price and availability.

The advertising said it would fit a 3.0 MerCruiser, once I received it it does not fit Mercruiser 3.0 it will however fit a 4.3 V6 which I don't happened to own furthermore if this was a new or rebuilt unit it certainly did not have the appearance of that. I put it on the shelf for future possible use

Make sure you know which direction your original starter rotates. Older Volvo Pentas (mines a 2007), goes counter-clockwise. This product goes clockwise.fast shipping. Appears to be a solid product otherwise.

Ordered this based on the description. Does not fit a3.0L mercruiser engine. Wrong bolt pattern. Also this is not a marine starter, it's for a car. Same sorta thing but marine starters are sealed up differently to be more intrinsically safe. This seller should not be able to sell this as a marine starter for safety reasons alone.

Fit my 2010 merc 4.3 TKS perfectly. Only a month old so I will see how it lasts???
