Very warm and offer great padding. And they last!! I've had mine for 2 years, I wear them almost daily in winter, I put them through the laundry with all my other clothes, and they are still in moderately good shape (look a bit old but no one but me sees them and they are still very solid with no thinning at wear spots). If they had neutral colors like black or grey I would be in heaven.I suspect they may not be pure wool because they have done well washed with regular laundry, but I wouldn't want pure wool anyhow. Too much hassle. Also I have a mild lanolin allergy but I can wear these against my bare skin (when I bought them I planned to wear them over cotton socks, but it turned out I didn't need to.)I bought them in a size smaller than my shoe size because I prefer overly tight socks to socks that bunch or move while exercizing, and though they looked small, they did stretch to fit nicely. That said, I think they do run true to size.

MERIWOOL KIDS HIKING SOCKS: Great quality, wonderful fit. Soft and warm.I am an adult with small feet. I buy size 5 women tennis shoe. Occasionally I buy a size 4 kids shoe, or boot. The socks in size L fit perfectly. What a joy to find a quality sock in my size. Wish I could find a source for quality light weight sock for warmer weather wear as well.

It's hard to find wool socks that are actually made with mostly wool...many other brands claim to be wool but in reality are mostly synthetic fibers with a little wool mixed in. These are 75% merino wool, which is good enough for the price. We've been buying these for over 3 years now for our kids and we love them! I get a different color for each kid so that they know whose is whose. They stand up very well to wear and tear--my son just wore a hole into one of his pairs that he's had for over 2 years. He's not gentle on his clothes either (he often wears his socks outside without shoes!) so I was impressed it had lasted that long. They're warm enough to wear just the one pair in winter temperatures. I don't give them a 5 star on comfort because my kids say they're a little itchy on the inside but they get over it and don't care. Perhaps not a great fit if your kid is sensitive to texture. Worth the price--I will keep buying these every year!

Baught for my 2 yr old who wears an 8. I ordered a small for sizes 9-11.5 to give her room to grow and they are snug on her! So I don't see her getting alot of wear out of them before I have to repurchase. Nice quality. Wish they were a little softer. They are thick! Would be good for winter. I got for summer hiking and will get thinner ones next time. Much thicker than expected. Keep that in mind if your kids shoes are snug they may not fit in the shoe well. They are hard to get on her but once on they seem to fit fine, snug but aren't to tight. Her feet are super sweaty and these seem to absorb some of it. Her feet are still damp but not as bad a regular socks. They protect her feet from blisters. Would buy again but would go up a size.

These are good merino wool socks. Given the thickness of these socks, to get three of them in the pack is a good value. These come in a box and therefore do not have a little plastic attachment to cut out and feed through the socks/tear a hole in the socks. This is much appreciated for a multipack of wool socks. Many others I have purchased came packaged that way and I’ve often seen this result in tears or holes in the stitching of the socks depending on how they are bound. These socks are soft, generously thick, and the color is consistent across the pairs. It is good to find a youth size for real merino wool that doesn’t break the bank. Pair these to a good poly sock liner and kid’s of most ages will be good to go. The fit of these appears to accommodate a variety of youth sized feet. Since I bought this pack for multiple kids, this is a major plus and makes laundry later simpler. The only drawback to these socks is that I wish they came in a four pack instead of three - but that’s by no means a dealbreaker.

They are warm and not too thick. They fit inside my toddlers rain and winter boots. They are easy to put on and the fact that it comes in a pack of three is wonderful. Excellent quality! She also liked the little sticker that came in the box.

I like that these are thick and they seem to hold up really well in the wash (cold, hang to dry). They are a good price for a 3-pack

These socks are warm and thick. They would be great socks if they didn't lack inadequate sizing guidelines. The socks are not label small or medium. I bought both sizes and they are identical. Very suspicious to me!They shrink like crazy too.

I was expecting fairly basic wool socks for the prize, but was very pleasantly surprised - these are super soft, very thick and cozy, my picky kids love them, and they've held up well after a few washes. They are very nearly too small for my 11 y/o boy, who wears size 5.5 shoes, but we should get a season of use out of them. They are perfect for my 9 y/o boy with size 3 feet.
