When we got these I was dubious that they could hold up to serious water flow (8 foot drop of large water column) from the canales on our home into a water barrel. But they are excellent. They stayed in place and zero tears with good filtering of debris.

The mesh screen itself is nice.The cord used to tighten around barrel must be nylon because when you tighten it , it slides back off. VERY hard to tighten. And it doesn’t stay down around barrel. Keeps sliding up so in turn, the mesh falls in barrel.

This is deceptively large! I didn't think it would fit on my barrel but it does and the drawstring is a bonus to keep it in one place. Perfect to keep the bugs, leaves and grass out of my water catchment.

simple solution to a annoying problem. fits any size barrel cuz it has a tightening string that keeps it taut. sturdy. seems like you could wash on gentle and hang dry when it gets really funky, but i’ve had them on all six of our barrels for about a month and still fine.

I bought these on a whim expecting them to be flimsy and to our surprise they surpass our expectations. So easy to use and catches all the debris filtering out leaves and blooms. They also prevent mosquitos from nesting in the water. For the money I think it's a good deal as you get 3 per package. I've been using the first one for a year through freezing weather and it's working fine. I really think you'll like these.

The mesh used for these covers is very dense, so I am not sure how easily water will flow through it. Also, clap on the cord that holds the draw string tight doesn’t hold very well. Other than that, I am confident that these will keep mosquitoes out of my rain barrels.

I bought this after I learned the hard way why you should cover the rain bucket. I thought it was for leaves but I was wrong. I drowned several lizards and one bird on accident. This product couldn't get here fast enough.Thanks for a great product. It also arrived on time and was well packaged
