Accurately measure ambient temperature, relative humidity, wet bulb, dew point temperature
USING TIPS:
1. Long press the Power Button for 2 seconds to turn on the device, and short press to turn off.
2. Start the normal temperature and humidity environment measurement mode by default after start-up.
3. Short press the "SEL" button to switch DP (dew-point temperature) measurement mode, and short press the "SEL" button again to switch WB (wet-bulb temperature) measurement mode.
4. Long press the "SEL" button to convert between °C and °F.
5. The backlight automatically lights up by pressing any button, and automatically turns off after 30 minutes.
NOTICE: When changing a different place, there is a temperature or humidity difference in the environment, please give the device a while (about 20 minutes) to settle down, and you will have a stable reading of the actual ambient temperature and humidity.

I use the ambient temperature setting most of all. The device works perfectly fine. It reads the ambient temperature and pretty accurate compared to what a room thermostat reads. It may be off, +/- by a couple of tenths as most. If the temperature in the space differs a few degrees drastically compared to the precious space, it will take the device a minute or so to calibrate to the current space, so it means waiting a bit, but it will get there.

I got this to help me calculate the heat stress I was under in my non air conditioned room. Then the weather changed to winter.The temperature it reports is always within 1°F of that reported by other digital thermometers I have.I have no reference to compare it to for RH.But still it is better than relying on a weather report's outdoor RH reading coming from who knows where.There is no way to turn it on without also turning on the light which is wasteful of battery power.The here is no provision for using it with external power.The battery trapdoor is secured by a tiny Philips screw which, unfortunately, is not captive so is likely to be lost if you are trying to change batteries standing around outside in cold weather. A screwdriver is provided which I always find poking through the fabric storage bag.There is a 1/4-20 threaded insert on the back to probably intended for mounting the device on a tripod for long timeframe measurements but I would have preferred a belt clip holster.âââ is my base rating for a product that is fully functional and fulfills its promises

Good size for hand held temperature meter. Has good sized display and all the functional buttons are easy to reach with the thumb. The On/Off button has to be kept pushed in for few seconds for the unit to turn on. I suppose this is to protect it from accidental button push from other objects. The display comes alive and starts showing the current temp and humidity. You can switch and get Dew point and Wet Bulb temperature which is convenient when working in HVAC field. Has max/min as well and a hold button. The accuracy seems to be within the ball park although the temperature always seems to read about 1/2 degree higher with the unit I have. No issues with the humidity. Couple of things that would make it practical would be some kind of tube cap that goes over the sensor. This would prevent anything small ending up inside the sensor when not being used. Also the pouch that comes with it is too thin and flimsy thereby not offering any protection to the unit.

This item works well, detects humidity in crawl space basements, anywhere humid needs to be known.
