These worked for the project I purchased them for. They are narrow, but I was able to easily spread them out to attach to the book cover. On the smallish side but not tiny. There are mostly brass colored set, only 2 bright gold colored and 2 silver colored. Satisfied with purchase.

I buy a lot of new and old books and these help protecting the cover edges really well. You will need a tiny pliers to tighten them, but they work so well and also give the book an extra charm
