Made for a really clean factory fit and install. Just had to spin the adapter around till the holes for the speakers would end up being in the correct placement. Even, though being being the door cover. Not going to see if the speakers aren't straight. But, I like to take the time to make things look correct. Then, I marked a spot to run the metra harness adapter. Drilled with a 3/8 drill. Able to run the harness wires close to the factory location. Really impressed by their products. Made for factory like easy install.

Recently bought a new 2023 Kia Niro EV, the HEV and PHEV all have the same basic body chassis and sizing. The stock audio system is pretty dismal if you don't end up getting the premium Hardon Kardon system. The front doors have 6.5" inch woofers with separate tweeters, the rear door have slightly smaller than 6.5" inch, but can fit 6.5" with a different modified speaker adapter. The Niro uses three screws in their speaker bracket, the stock speaker bracket is also raised off the mounting surface just like this one to give you a little more depth. The front doors are a bit shallow with the windows down they do partially encroach into the speaker space so you definitely want to measure and go with shallow mount speakers or magnets and spider baskets that aren't too wide. There's also door molding parts that encroach into the speaker opening preventing large woofers from fitting. The three mounting brackets tabs on the adapter are in the correct place but the depth where the screws fit is off, so you have to drill the the tabs so the slot is deeper and right up next to the raised ring (see pic). Do that and you're good to go. Otherwise the Metra Universal 6.5" speaker adapter should work once you break away the inner tabs, this adapter also fits the rear doors but you need to drill holes into the three divots in the ring as all the other tabs are useless. This Metra 82-7400 speaker adaptor will NOT work for the back doors as the mounting hole diameter is smaller and nothing lines up, even with modifications.

Tried for about an hour using the adapter ring that came with the JBL speakers, but because they are flat they would not work. These raise the speaker up so there is plenty of room to fit in the original opening for the speaker. No screws came with these which sucks, but use #8 3/4" and they worked great.
