Different Roof Installation Methods
1.Color steel tile or resin tile: first lay a layer of grid, and then fix tiki hut grass on the grid with ties
2. Wooden board layer: first do a waterproof layer (SBS waterproofing membrane is recommended) and then nail the thatch on the waterproof layer
3. Concrete slab layer: you can directly nail tiki hut grass on it, you can also add a layer of small wooden strips, thatch nailed to the wooden strips
4. Glass roof: use structural adhesive 8800 or 9900 to paste

We used this item around our covered patio by the pool. Hung on the metal overhang with strong double sided tape and it’s been up now for a year with no issues. Heavy duty and waterproof. Looks great and adds a nice tiki sort of vibe to our favorite spot!

We used this as the thatch roof for part of a set for our Bible times themed VBS and it worked great. It was maybe a little curled when we got it but after a day or two of sitting in a humid garage it relaxed. We did layer it and had to order 3 to do two layers on a 6’ section of roof. We had a bit left over to use elsewhere then. Feels like good quality stuff that should hold up for a while.

I wanted something durable for a tiki hut roof in my backyard. This material is perfect! It looks like authentic thatch and should hold up well in outdoor conditions, as opposed to real thatch that I suspect would become moldy. I ordered two more!

We’re throwing a Jimmy Buffet party for my husband’s birthday and will use this above the doors (for a tiki hut appearance). Great quality, durable (planning on using every year), it looks real. Overall, very happy!

Tiki Bar! Bought a used metal framed bar at a garage sale. Used six 60†rows of this plastic thatch, taped on fabric with duct tape, for the roof. Cut this thatch, drilled holes in it and attached to the chairs with zip strips, for a grass skirt look. It’s easy to cut the plastic thatch with scissors. Bonus…used a heat gun to encourage it to bend at the roof edge of the tiki bar’s roof. It was a very satisfying project and this plastic thatch was perfect for it. It’s held up to two thunderstorms already. Great product!
