These Mile Marker 449 SS hubs are replacing the original equipment hubs on my 2002 F350. They are high quality throughout. Installation is very straight forward. I am completely satisfied with these hubs. They work great.

After going through several pairs of the 'OEM' replacements for the vacuum-operated 'automatic' 4x4 front hub locks, I saw these and decided to pay a few extra dollars so I never have to replace the hub locks EVER again. These are SOLID, an obvious upgrade to the existing plastic-filled lockers that came on these trucks. I can get out and manually lock my hubs when I need 4x4, so it's not a great loss to have actual metal pieces doing the engaging action as a trade off. Installation was cake - it took more time to remove the siezed and broken OEM unit than it did to clean out the hub and slide these into place. It shoulhd have taken me less than 10 minutes if not for the stubborness of the old parts. Some people suggest using blue thread lock on the 6 bolts that keep everything together, but I haven't had any back out at all after several hundred miles so just tighten them up pretty good - they're literally the only parts you really have to do anything with, as everything else just slides into place. The way these are designed, you can see the interals and how everything works, and you'll know you've made the right choice here. I'm looking for shorter center caps for my factory rims, since these units are shorter than OEM lockers, but it's barely noticable so NBD. If you're looking for reliable, light-medium 4x4 upgrade bits, these are a great start to a killer off-road rig.

Got these for a 2000 F250 that had been converted from autolocking hubs previously. The old hubs were stuck and unable to turn. These fit well and were a breeze to swap. The tire and wheel do not have to be removed for these to be replaced. The videos that show it to be a simple swap are accurate. Hubs are now easy to lock and unlock. Took a chance to save a little money on these and don't regret it at all. They are a little shorter than some other hubs so they won't come out flush with your lug nut covers. Otherwise they fit and work great.

All the bolts backed out of the cap and I can’t find the right bolt size or thread pattern to replace them. I called and after a short conversation on the phone she was sending me new bolts for both sides and they arrived in just a few days. Only give 4 stars because I wish there was more meat on the locking lever so no tool was necessary to make it easier.

Replaced my Warn hubs that no longer engaged on my 2000 F-250 super duty. Mile Marker part number 449s/s. Shipping was as promised. Packaging was good. Parts came without a scratch. Install was a breeze, after a call to tech support. Only thing I had to do was move the axle up and down and side to side to get the new lockouts to slide into the hub splines. At first I thought they wouldn't fit, so I called Mile Marker tech line and spoke with a guy that told me what and how to get them to slide in. I wiggled the axle shaft by grabbing the U-joint on the front axle shaft and moving it up and down and side to side and the hub slid right in. Perfect fit! The tolerance on these new hubs is so small just a little misalignment of the axle spline was enough to not let it slide in. There is very little play in the hubs when they slid in! Much less than the Warn hubs I took out. Test drove and they are working perfectly. Easy to engage and disengage. Would recommend these.

I had one hub and got these instead of replacing a single stock esof hub for my 03 superduty.I opted to get rid of the esof after I found out one of mine was not disengaging. I would never have known unless I had another problem. I need a reliable vehicle.I originally wanted the Warns because I had them on vehicles before. These have better material and the only drawback might be no orings on the allen screws. I'm not worried about having them under water so much and would oil them again. The price is half of the Warn premiums. And these need to be turned 1/4 instead of a smaller 1/8 turn on the Warns. These are great and seem to be a much better value. After inspecting and installing these I would not buy the Warns for the price difference.Easy install. Easy to turn. Very nice.

Took longer to get my tools than it took to install the hubs , the hubs are well built too, steel and not plastic.

I have a 1997 F250 HD 7.3 diesel. The truck came stock with Auto hubs. These fit right in with zero issues, I did not need to remove the bearing, I did not need the conversion kit etc.I simply removed the auto hub, removed the C clamp from the inner seat on axle shaft, remove the rest of the auto hub parts, put the new manual locker in, install the C clamp on the outer seat, the two ring retainers, then install the outer end of hub.Took my all of 45 min. They work great.

I used these to replace the ESOF factory hubs on my 2002 Ford excursion. Didn’t think the outer splines were correct at first attempt, but after a bit of wiggling around they went in. Like all aftermarket hubs for pre 2005 fords, they are lower profile than stock, so if you have a dual rear wheel truck they may be a bit harder to get to. 1/2 the price of warn and seem to be just as good quality wise. Very happy with these, and the outer housing is stainless not just chrome plated so they should look good for years to come.

i almost returned these like a dummy. sent in the request and everything. they look very different than the old warn 11690's that were in my 04 f350-dually. no idea when she got converted from the esof hubs, that was before we bought her used. so i got concerned at how short the outer spline hub was compared to the warn's. and i couldn't get it to slip into the brand new hub (just did the bearing, and the warn locker's cap got molested getting it off, hence the replacement of the locker). the old gross warn internals slipped right in. started the return with amazon, freaked out trying to find some warn's locally today (if snow happens and my truck is apart, bad day for me plowing with a bobcat instead). everything i was reading said these MM hubs are the ones for this beast. so i took another look at the problem. turns out my old ass nasty axle has some marring on it, from what looks like a banana going at it with channel locks at some time in the past. i assume the warn hub has a less tight tolerance either by design, or age/wear than the brand new milemarkers. either way, grabbed some needle files, and cleaned up the couple marred splines on the axle. disassembled the entire MM hub to pieces so i could just use the center section for test fitment (i like the internal design. simple, robust). got it slipping on and off with little resistance, put it all back together. and boom, good to go. canceled the return. i really like the little plastic knob adaptor that comes with it, i guess to help turn the locker. makes us dually guys reaching down into the wheel spacer happy. only grip i have, is the instructions in the box say spiraloc then snap ring. video online from MM shows snap ring then spiraloc?

The Mile Marker hubs are beautiful, work fantastically and are a much nicer part than factory, I even prefer them over the Warns. They are a little more recessed in the wheel, but I think thats the design so your not at risk of having them turned during trips through any rougher terrain, that's what the fancy little plastic key tool is for, which they include and works great at saving the skin on your knuckles even if its a bit silly looking. The fit is TIGHT, a skim of grease and a little patience will get them in there, remember, tight is good! I NEVER RECEIVED THESE FROM THIS SELLER. BUT THESE HUBS ARE AMAZING SO IM GOING TO REVIEW THEM ANYWAY. What I learned from this purchase is that sellers outright lie about what they have in stock. When you see the notice by the "Add to Cart" button that says seller has "x amount in stock" it doesn't necessarily mean they do. I ordered this set of hubs in a panic. I lost the snap ring to one of my husbands hubs as he was rebuilding it, two days before a snow storm, essentially stranding his truck in the garage, so when I found this canadian company saying they had some I stock and could deliver in under a week, I was so happy! I saw my opportunity to save myself a divorce by getting my hubby some brand new beautiful Mile Markers! So I send the seller a message, asking about the possibility of a quicker shipping time, and what do I get in return? A response back saying they were damaged on shipping, a refund would be sent. This is before Amazon's tracking has said they were shipped. And while I waited for the refund, 24hrs later the order suddenly says SHIPPED! So I was excited again, since I figured the listing said they had several in stock, that maybe I was safe and I would receive them after all! But no, 24hrs after that, I got a refund notice, and the refund 3 days later. So if you made it through my rant, what I'm saying is don't bother ordering through any Amazon seller if you need these hubs, ALL of them just forward your order through Mile Marker themselves and I know Mile Marker has them on back order. If you have a Prince$$ @uto close by, they just happen to have some, not remanned or refurbished, brand new and shiney overstock on sale, half the price, several different sizes for several different trucks.
