I used this gasket on my '72 F 100 390 engine and I like it a lot. It's fairly thick and very sturdy and doesn't crush like a cork gasket would. Milodon said to use no sealer on it so I didn't, and it hasn't leaked yet. It's been in for a couple of months now. Torqued it down to 120 inch pounds (10 foot pounds). Checked it the next day. The torque dropped to around 100 inch pounds so re torqued. This is normal for these types of gaskets. Too bad they don't make valve cover gaskets with this material.

Tore out just like all fabric gaskets do. Replaced with cork. Over priced average gasket.

I liked the gasket but if your pan is not new better make sure it's flat before you try to torqe to specs or it will crush ....

I have always been plagued with oil weepage with other pan gaskets so I thought I would try these ones ,I am running a windage tray so I needed 2 gaskets .The gaskets appeared to be fairly robust and didn't squeeze out when the pan was torqued up .Tested by running the engine up and no leakage was noted ,so far so good , will see how they do next spring when the car is back on the road
