Perfect holes, the worm and the super sharp cutting blade and teeth do the work. All you have to do is hold on. I hit an 8 penny nail first thing and it didn't even phase it.

I've been using these large self feed bits for years and I must say that these are pretty good. They feel a little softer than there predecessors. But being able to replace the parts of this bit that come into contact with the wood is awesome. You can replace the cutting blades , the center auger/feed screw and the allen bolts. ** Helpful tip** Buy this 2 1/8 " bit if you don't specifically need the 2 1/4" bit. The replacement blades are available in a ten pack for the 2 1/8" but only singles ( so far ) for the 2 1/4" bits. Much cheaperr if you use them a lot ( like drilling holes for smurf tube in new house during pre-wires.

These Milwaukee bits are first class. I bought then to use on my joist drill but it turns out my old 18v Dewalt cordless drill can spin this on low gear in a pinch. Other than the fact they make a huge pile of shavings and hitting nails or screws completely destroys the bit these bits are awesome.

I love my 'switch blades' ... nails kill bits and instead of ruining $24 bits, I ruin $4 bladesand need the 2.125 to feed 1.908 ABS pipe but my local stores only carry 2.0" ... too tight
